Need Ideas for New Toys

Easter is coming, so I have some shopping to do. Sully can crawl and pull to standing, and his fine motor skills are pretty good. What new toys would you recommend? I want to get him a shape sorter and something he can sit and scoot on. Any suggestions for those two types of items?

I also need storage ideas for all this crap. Anyone have any great toy chest/shelf recomendations?

TIA!

ETA: Currently his favorite activity is chasing the Roomba. The other day I had to rescue the poor thing because he had it trapped in a corner.

  • @NKaeding HOW did I forget about BUBBLES?! *puts it on the shopping list*
  • Loading the player...
  • @LadyBlue07 love them all!

@Livvyx we have the fisher price walker (no batteries) which he loves to play with. He is starting to use it to walk, but doesn't quite have the balance to do it without help. The stackers are cute, too!

    ETA: Double post.

@NKaeding we have Scout and he smiles when we turn him on, but he hasn't really gotten into him on his own. :(

Any experience with this on carpet? He'll have to scoot on the carpet.

Bubbles are a big hit at my house!

I got my toy storage containers at Home Goods - super inexpensive and cute.  My mom recently bought DD a Melissa & Doug bead maze, which she is fascinated by.  Other than that, she's perfectly happy to play in a box, with a clean diaper, of a package of wipes.
We're moving, and DD LOVES to sit and play in a box. She is also a big fan of empty oatmeal canisters and a little bottle I filled with lentils to make a shaker. (she likes both of these things better than all her "real" toys, apart from the Oball, which is a perpetual hit)

    A swing for outside?
We don't have any big trees to hang a swing in. We will probably be moving before he is old enough to enjoy a swing set.
  • As for storage, a bunch of friends have this and I like it, and plan to get it for us. TROFAST from Ikea.

For those not currently moving we have found that the economy pampers boxes and perfect baby size boxes... I joking told DH the other day that we shouldn't ever have invested in the pack and play when he has so much fun in the box!

@ChrissieMeas‌ I have it on hardwood so no. Ds1 wasn't able to ride it at this age but he liked to play with the part on the side of the train that makes noise. You can also put blocks in the top and it will shoot it in the back. It really is such a cool toy. Its been ds1s favorite toy for 2 years.
