Divergent movie (spoilers)

Has anyone else seen it? I enjoyed it more than I thought, but the book was still better.

I kept finding myself comparing the Tris actress with Jennifer Lawrence in Hunger Games.

It did start off hunger games -ish, but then I got sucked into it and forgot all about hunger games.

I really enjoyed it, and was surprised at how closely they followed the books. I do hate that I didn't know that the author had a cameo in the movie until after I'd already seen it. I am a dork, and like things like that.

I agree! Did I remember right from the book that Janine wasn't such a big part of the end scene? I'm being vague because I don't want to give away spoilers.

I read that was an extra in the zip lining scene.

I thought that didn't even happen like that! Also, what about the guy that got stabbed in the eye by Peter. I didn't think they portrayed Peter as awful as he really was. AND I'm pretty sure Christina got the flag during the "games" not Tris.

Yeah, I agree. I also thought that they didn't play up the relationship between Christina and Will much. They were so much closer in the book.

I saw it Friday with DH - we both LOVED it! The books, as always, were so much better, but the movie didn't skip or change too much from the books, but I agree that a few things could have been added, but were overall not necessary to the plot. Plus, what's not to love about this?

Yeah I think Tris is supposed to be 16 and Four is like 19?

Exactly! I think he's 18 and Tris is 16. I like that he looks older so I don't feel like I'm crushing on a teenager. That bedroom scene was hot. Can't wait for the 3rd book adaptation.
