Are you an Amazon Mom?

I just signed up for the three month trial (Amazon Prime + Mom). My boss swears by it, just for the Prime benefits alone, but says diapers are a lot cheaper via Amazon this way, too. Can any other Amazon Moms attest to this?

I did Mom with my first and loved it so much I just pay for Prime now. It's definitely worth it for the 2 day shipping alone. I haven't done diapers or formula, but I do get my prenatals delivered every month.

  • We are amazon addicts. I'm a FTM so since we have prime I get mom anyway. I swear by amazon. I hate store shopping so I get anything I can online and amazon is usually the cheapest and quickest shipping.
  • yes.  I'm a paying Prime/Mom member.  Cost for diapers worth it, especially because of the subscription so I don't even have to think about ordering them, they just show up at my door every month.

I use Amazon for so so much - I love them.

  • My name is Lena and I'm a primaholic. hehe.

I get my garbage bags, toilet paper, and paper towels via subscription from them. I will be getting diapers and wipes as soon as LO decides to show up!

  • I just have Prime because I did the free trial for Christmas shopping and forgot to cancel.  It's pretty sweet not having to carefully calculate an order to get free shipping though, and DH and I have been enjoying some seriously random internet movies and television.  We don't have cable or netflix or paid Hulu, so it's Prime and the library for anything that's not on the two or three channels we get of regular television.
  • I'm a prime addict! I got it when they did the special where students get it for free. Now I just pay for it and signed up for "mom." I use their subscribe and save for tonss of stuff, paper towels, toilet paper, copy paper, printer ink, k-cups for my keurig, etc. As soon as I run out of my diaper and wipe stash I will be signing up for it for LO. Prime is good to have anyways because you also have access to the Amazon Instant Video and you get 1 free book a month (from a selection) on a kindle, as well as being able to "borrow" a prime book 1x a month too. Totally worth the yearly fee!!

  • I absolutely LOVE amazon prime and amazon mom. Aside for the awesome 2-day shipping and discounts on diapers/wipes you can get up to 15% off a one time purchase of things on your registry. DH and I are planning to get multiple items with this 15% off including a glider, travel system, diaper bag, etc. We didn't have the glider on our registry for the baby shower but heck if I can get 15% off something that large you better believe it's going on there. We also use amazon prime instant streaming for some tv shows and movies that aren't on netflix. Overall I think it is totally worth the money.
  • We've been prime members for a couple of years and love it! I'm clueless as to what the Amazon Mom is, so I'm off to check out now what I've been missing...

  • How much does the mom
    Prime cost a month?
  • @jennyinheaven Prime is $99 a year, adding on Mom service is free with it.

Everybody- this is a dumb question but how do you know how many diapers to sign up for each month? Or other stuff, for that matter. I don't want things like paper towels to show up with such regularity that we amass a stockpile in the garage. Even though I have Prime, I still live in the dark ages with trips to Target every couple of weeks and even that is stressful..."Will I run out of body wash in the next two weeks? WILL I?"

  • We have a prime membership so mom is free, but I agree with all the pp's, its definitely worth it. Not only for the convenience, but the subscribe and save really does save you money.

We didn't use amazon mom for diapers during the newborn stage, not sure how many you would need then. But for the last few months we've been getting one case of diapers per month and that works out fine. Basically, whenever you sign up for a new subscription amazon gives you the recommended delivery frequency for that particular item. So I start out with that, then adjust later on if I find it's too much/little. I did stock pile a whole bunch of toothpaste before I thought of changing my delivery frequency.

  • We did this when we had DS and I've remained a member, just stopped the subscribe and save deliveries for diapers/wipes since he's been potty trained for over a year, but it was super convienient and we never once ran out of diapers/wipes/diaper genie refills, it was wonderful.  For formula, I found way better prices at BJ's for what we were using and recently priced out formula for my sis between amazon moms/BJ's/Walmart and BJ's and Walmart were cheaper, so I think we'll just stick to diapers and wipes from amazon.
