Hey Y'all

Turns out I have ALL the POWER...

Apparently I have the power to make other adult humans "fly off the handle" by simply asking a question.  The question was, and I might add I had no hint of attitude when asking (i've asked other people), in response to "we're not there yet" (work issue) I said, "ok, so what do we do to get there?" This woman lost her shit... then after calming down on the call (that included like 4 groups from work) we finished the call, and she called me to say that I made her do that, and that she's sick of covering for and cleaning up after me.  She's tired of being the bad guy.

I may or may not have laughed at her and said "I don't need anyone to cover for or clean up after me.  As an adult in the real world, I know that when I screw up I need to call, or go see the person and apologize and take responsibility for my own actions.  I definitely don't call someone else and blame them for my actions.  It may be helpful to you if you were to start doing the same.  I didn't attack you, or provoke you or anything else, I asked a question, because I'm dedicated to fixing the broken process.  You flew off the handle, that's on you.  I think it's sad that you want to use me as a scape goat for your crappy attitude, and to be quite honest, I have to own up to sticking my own foot in my mouth enough, I don't need to own yours too."

She kept it up for a while and I finally said, ok, if that's how you want to see it then that's fine.  I'm telling you this only to help you, when you talk to other people about this, I would refrain from blaming me or anyone else, I'd just own up to it.  It looks awfully childish to blame others for your actions.  Even if you believe I was "snarky" with you, you should have the composure to respond more professionally, no one yelled on that call but you, so own it.  Be you, and own your actions.  I know I do.

Since I seem to be the probable explanation for all things anyone does that are a poor reflection on themselves, please tell me what do you all want to blame me for today ;)
