Birth Announcement Question

It's ok to just throw it in the envelope and address it right?

I'm nervous after I realized that sending picture Christmas cards is not acceptable, that a written note is expected as well.

What would I write if I need to write something?

  • I did just the picture/announcement unless a birth gift was given or a visit to the hospital occurred. The ones I've received recently did not have note...
  • ok sweet. I'm sure it will be a struggle to find the time just to address them as is..

  • I just put mine in envelopes.  No note.
  • Same here as PP. No note needed.
  • Yes, I just throw them in envelopes and address them!

  • Just sent ours out, no note.. I'm lucky I got that far!
  • I'm not planning on including a note for most of my announcements. However, for close relatives (parents, grandparents, and siblings), I am planning to include a few 4x6 photos from LO's newborn portraits with a short note.

They have been sitting on my kitchen counter for the past week...fingers crossed I find the time to address then soon!

As far as I knew, printed christmas cards are totally fine. Actually, more then what most people do these days. In my opinion its the same for birth announcements.
