Take baby with to the gyno?

edited March 2014 in July 2013 Moms
The nanny called out and I have an appointment today. What would you do? I'm worried about keeping him entertained while I have my check up.

Reschedule. I'll still have to pay a fee for a late cancel.

  • He can sit in his bucket or lay on your chest during your check-up. You may even have a nurse who wants to play with him during your exam.

I never had a bucket seat and took LO with me to my pp checkup. I was nervous about what I was going to do with her during my appt, since DH was working. All the nurses wanted to hold and cuddle her so it was a non-problem :)

    Definitely bring him!

  • I had to take G a few weeks ago. One of the nurses took him and walked around visiting everyone in the back while I had my exam. He's a flirt so he loved it and the nurses wentwild. Lol

  • Definitely take him. As pp said, they are definitely used to babies. You can always just hold him during your exam if he's being too fussy too. GL!

  • Take him and a few toys/snacks that'll occupy him. They'll understand.

  • The nanny does not give me the warm fuzzies.
  • Hope it goes well! I've taken DD to my OB so many times in the last year because of my cysts so they all know her really well and love her.
  • Uh, why didn't you posting on Facebook that you need someone to watch your lo?. Seems like the obvious choice.

    Jk.
  • Good to hear it went well. LO is going with me to my OB appt next week.
