Revealing gender to 4 year old?

We go next week for our anatomy scan.  We have a four year old son who is VERY excited to find out whether he will be having a brother or sister.  We don't plan to have a gender reveal party or anything, but will be doing a photo announcement for family and friends....Any ideas for fun/creative/exciting ways to tell my son?  I have been looking around online and haven't seen much.  TIA!

  • Maybe do it like some people have for gender reveal party's and have cupcakes filled with either blue or pink frosting for him.  Kids love cupcakes!

  • I think we will do either a cupcake or get her a blue/pink balloon.  She loves both.  She will be 3 in May.

We weren't very creative when we told my 3.5yo DS. After our A/S we just took him aside and said "Guess what? The doctor took some pictures of the baby today with a special camera" he giggled..."and it's a girl! You are going to have a little sister". He yelled "yay!!!!!" and that was it. Then we let him walk in the other room and tell his grandparents, and then call everyone else to tell too.
