Marley Olivia arrived via c section on Friday, March 21 at 2:21pm. She was 6lbs 15 oz and 20 inches. She's absolute perfection.
We went in at noon Friday for our scheduled C section due to her being breech. I'm a FTM so I was terrified of having a section. Everything went really really well! Thank goodness for modern medicine! Epideral/spinal wasn't as bad as I thought. Didn't feel much except tons if pressure. They had a difficult time "digging" her out because she was so high and buried in my rib cage. Right after they got her out I got really nauseas, and didn't get to see her much because I was trying to not puke. My husband and I were both I tears. His heart was immediately stolen. He stayed with her when I finally puked on myself. Lol. Felt much better after that!! We got skin to skin as soon as we got into recovery. She was on the boob by 3pm. She's a great feeder!! Our stay at the hospital went very well. She lost weight, then gained!! The first night there I got pretty sick, do I was out of it Saturday. Saturday night tested our sanity. By Sunday we had it down. Bilirubin levels very low, passed hearing screening, pediatrician says she's perfect! We are now home and getting settled. Trying to not hold her alllll the time. Easier said than done. My milk is starting to come in so my boobs are HUGE and hurt realllllly bad. Blah. But I don't care because she's finally here! We are beyond smitten. Hope all of you ladies had a great weekend! And for those of you waiting for your little ones, being patient is hard-I know, but the wait is sooooooo worth it!!!
