How do we feel about Evangeline Marie?

Marie as a middle name is kind of a family tradition - our daughter will be the fifth generation of women in my family with that name.

I like the multiple nickname possibilities for Evangeline - Evie, Eva, etc. We also wanted something super feminine because we have a really harsh sounding doozy of a last name - it's three syllables, Czechoslovakian, beings with a V, and ends with the "ack" sound. "Bearer of good news" is a nice little sentiment, and I like that it's a "normal" name without being super common.

So, thoughts? And be honest - I can take it.

Very pretty name and I love the NNs. The only thing is, you have quite a string of syllables with that FN and LN.

Yea, it's definitely long. My name is actually the same number of syllables, so I've thought about that. I commonly go by a shortened nickname though and I feel like in more formal settings, having a long, "grand" name is kinda nice. Still, definitely something we're considering.

It definitely is a mouthful! All of the names we've considered have been pretty long names (Alexandra, Isabella) so I guess maybe that's just our style? I think the nicknames help...
