Needing sincere advice.....

I'm having spots of blood in my underwear and I'm scared that it maybe a miscarriage. It started this morning. I'm also a high risk to miscarriage due to my having my other three children premature. I'm looking for sincere advice on what I should do or expect??

Please call your doctor. Ususlly miscarriages have both cramps and bleeding but as you said, you've had three other premature births. I honestly think the best thing to do is to contact your doctor. If that doesn't work, maybe the ER.

I've personally had spotting twice so far in my pregnancy. I called my OB, and she said there probably wasn't anything to worry about, but she changed my appointment to the same and I had an ultrasound to check things out. I've been told that if it isn't a large volume of blood, and there isn't bad cramping, then things are probably okay.
It really sucks to feel panicky about things, but the worry won't do anything good. If you or I miscarry, there's not any worry in the world that can prevent it or make it easier for us if it happens.

I agree. Call your dr in the morning. I did unfortunately have a MC. Lots of blood. Lots of cramps. The nurse I had at the ER had same thing happen to her and her baby was absolutely fine. A friend of mine had a period for 4 months during her pregnancy. Her son is now 7. You won't know until you get checked out so try not to worry too much. Good luck! Fx!

Contact your doctor. Chances are they are going to tell you that half of all pregnant women have bleeding during pregnancy. You are your own best advocate so if you really feel something is wrong, stand up for yourself -- see if they will get an US ordered for you.

If you start to have pain, fill more than 1pad an hour, or develop a fever do not wait until the morning and please go to the ER.

When I was pregnant with DS, I had two to three instances of spotting with bright red blood, but it was never heavy like a period (he is now a healthy 18 month old). It is possible you are just spotting and everything is normal, particularly if you don't have cramping and the flow doesn't become heavy. Call your doctor. My midwife didn't want to see me unless it became heavy.
