We went to a Natural Parenting Expo today and of course DH and I found another carrier we think we like. Has anyone tried the Boba Air carrier? Currently I wear our 8 week old in our Moby wrap and DH wears our 15 mo old in our Baby Hawk mei tai. But now our littlest one likes the Baby Hawk and I like it b/c it's easier to put on. And there are a couple of reasons I am not crazy about it for our toddler. So we tried a few SSCs for our toddler and the Boba Air really appealed to us for various reasons. And also the price is reasonable which is nice because we have also have a RS and we don't really "need" a new carrier, much less an expensive one. But with it being such thin material and absolutely no cushioning I was wondering if the Boba Air is comfy to wear for any length of time- for the adult AND the baby of course.
I have one in the baby carrier library that I manage. I like it as an emergency carrier or short-term while travelling carrier for people with non-picky backs, but I personal cannot wear it. The minimal support is really hard on my body. (I have pelvic instability which impacts my lower back). After the support of the BH, I think you'd notice a difference with what this offers.
I love mine. The longest adventures it has been on were forward facing at the zoo the hot summer (21 lb 8 month old) ...wore for several hours... then this past weekend shopping for about an hour and a half... on back with 25 lb 14 month old.. both times we were both comfy (im judging he was because he slept and didnt fuss to get out) ...
