Thrush?

Ok, my nips are still killing me. I've tried APNO and given it a week. Is there a chance I have thrush? My right nipple like throbs during the day. Last night I noticed two bright pink pinholes in the middle of my nipple. Obvi, that's the part the milk comes out of the nipple. Is there anything else that causes that pink pinhole look?

What doctor needs to looks at my bewbs?????

Call the obgyn. I had white pinholes popping out and deep pain. Throbbing. Sharp.

Turned out this cream she ordered from a compounding pharmacy fixed everything. Oh, and keep your nips dry as possible. Change pads often even if you don't think you're leaking. The yeast grows when it's moist.

Anyways you know I was in major pain if I went back to the obgyn...

Definitely call your OB. It sounds like thrush to me. I can still remember that throbbing pain.

For those who had thrush, did your LO get any treatment? I'm already doing the APNO for myself. I will need to wash my bras and wear nursing pads for a bit to keep dry.

And what did your nips look like? Sorry if that's weird. Is it really obvious that you have thrush?

Mine were red and and had white spots. Also, the pain was almost like an ice cold burning sensation. It was relentless and the pain while nursing was unbelievable… like scrunch your face and stop breathing type of pain.

I didn't get LO any treatment and he never fot it, but thrush was a small factor in my decision to quit BFing.

So I have like ZERO time to go to a doctor. Is this something the doctor could absolutely diagnose on the spot? God, my job sucks. I just cant miss any time between now and Friday.

I'm pumping right now and it doesn't hurt. So, could this really be thrush? Or some other weird bewb thing?

Call your OB and your pedi. Tell them you have thrush- lie if you have to and tell them the pedi confirmed but you can't get to the OB and the OB confirmed but you can't get to the pedi. If the meds help within a day, you've got thrush. If within 48 hours you don't notice a change, I'd go to the doctor.

I couldn't BF through thrush, so I hope you and LO get better ASAP!!
