Anyone up for throwing some names out for me that go with Jake. SO got me on board with Jake and well I can't find a middle name. I like Jake William buuut I don't love it. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!
Just Jake. I turned down Jacob. And no preference of what letter it starts with but I would like for it to sound good with the last name. The last name is Meyers.
Hehe, I had a horse named "j.r." named after the cereal "Just Right"... I love the name Jake and Jacob... don't totally love Jacob William but only because I think William is more of a first name. I agree with PP... do you know how many syllables you want?

Does it sound like Jake should be a middle name?? Because I like Benjamin but I think it sounds better like Benjamin Jake. Be honest ladies it's ok! @Jdubb13 I am dying over this lol we had Jasmine's picked out before 3 months I think. So when I talked to my belly I always used her name. Now I feel like my baby is just "baby boy" poor kid.
There is something about one syllable first names that end in "k" sound that makes it hard to find a middle name IMO! That is what has taken us so long to actually use Luke! I am finally going for it with a one syllable middle name that's is a family name. But I think Jake sounds good with a two or three syllable mn.
I think that's why Jake Elliot and Jake Henry both sound so good!
I agree 2 or more syllables sound better. If you're into the J.R. nickname some other options may be: Jake Rylan/d Jake Riley Jake Robert/o Jake Ramone Jake Randall Jake Raymond Jake Rinaldo Jake Roland Jake Rowan
I like "real" names but not very popular ones. I also think that you just have to like the name - It doesn't necessarily have to flow or whatever because really, how often do you say their full name. Re: the comment about naming full names - my dad was adamant that I just be named Debbie and not Debra. My mom fought and named me Debra, saying everyone could just call me Debbie. Well when the baby cards came rolling in they all said "Debra" on them. My dad was some upset however, in the end (probably by high school anyway) most people called me Debbie. Except teachers. Teachers always called me Debra because I had to be registered with my full name. Some asked what I wanted to be called but for the most part I was Debra to them.
Well I'm partial to William however, Jake David and Jake Elliott are probably my next two. I also LOVE that you would name him Jake. No offense to you Trin or anyone else with this viewpoint, but I think it's silly to name a child something if you never intend on calling them that name (unless it's a family name.) My cousin just had a girl, named her Gabrielle and gets annoyed when people call her Gabrielle instead of Brielle. I just want to scream at him, "Hey moron, you're the one that named her. Don't be upset with me for calling her her name."

Related to the full name thing I agree! I get asked all the time oh is it Lilian nope just lily because I want to call her lily!!
Yes! I have a Jack. Not short for Jackson. Just Jack. I always think of will and grace when I say that "Just Jack!"
And I hope to God you are mentally doing jazz hands while thinking that..
@JSS1002 often times the jazz hands aren't even mental! Who doesn't love some real live action jazz hands! I'm only slightly embarrassed when people don't get the reference.
I would be compelled to add "2000" to the end. ;-)
