So DH and I met at college, he and his family are immigrants from Georgia (the country, which is funny because when they first arrived in America they lived in Georgia the state). He has two younger sisters who were born here and are citizens, he is not. He has been on dependent and student visa's his entire life. This month he finally got his permanent resident card, which gave him the green light so he could enter the work force for the first time ever. We were thrilled just to finally get the card, so when he got a call back and a job offer today we were of course elated. It's a family friendly business owned by an acquaintance's father. He recently lost a long time full time employee and was thrilled when DH came to him looking for a job. He starts Friday! (Making great money for a first time job, and his boss knows we are expecting and is very adamant that if DH needs time off for appointments and such that family should ALWAYS come first.) We were so nervous about finding out we were pregnant in the middle of the immigration process, and with him being unable to work.. but now everything is turning around! We have been living with his 2 sisters and parents since they all came back to America in September and it has been very stressful, but now we can finally start looking at places and move out! *giddy jumping and screaming with happiness!*
Okay that's it. I just needed to be excited and blab it all out so I could go back to sleep before work tonight. Have a good day everyone.
