I thought I was bleeding...sorry if this is a "stupid" post

So I hope no one judges, I just had something very odd happen, and was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar or has any suggestions.

I thought I was experiencing bleeding - it was red, and like dots, almost like you'd dab after a nick shaving, but smaller and not as much blood. Then I went so far as to get a mirror and flashlight and look down there, and it turns out I am not bleeding from what I can see, from the "inside"... it's a CUT on my vulva area because I am running to the bathroom so much and wiping so much. Has anyone else had this happen, I use Charmin TP I am not sure what else to do .. baby wipes?

Please dont insult or call this stupid - I am sincerely wondering what to do as I dont want a cut down there to get infected somehow.

hahaha, i'm mental....just like you. I'm pretty paranoid about having a MC and did this exact thing. the blood was bright red and the size of a grain of rice or so and it happened a couple times. Turns out, I did it to myself, bc...as mentioned...I'm a nut job.

Don't worry about it. You MAY need treatment if it's really THAT bad, but I just let mine heal on its own and everything is fine ;-)

its just from constant rubbing with f*ing TP! I am peeing every hour and my prenatal vit has a stool softener sooo... too much wiping either that or Im just too rough. Lol have NEVER had a problem before in my life though! I felt like a nut at work with a cell phone flash light and my compact case in the bathroom!!

Lol @superfreakedfirsttrimester, we should have the same username honestly cause that describes meee! @joy2611 fingernails!! LOL maybe I would have a more exciting reason for my cut if my BF and I were talking... ugh but thats another post, he is "taking space" Mreh.

Sorry lurking! That happened to me when I wasnt pregnant and my OBGYN said to use aquaphor to protect the area while it heals.

I would put some Vaseline or Aquaphor on it to create a barrier. You might want to look into using some of those moist wipes being marketed now or baby wipes. Just be sure that they are flushable before clogging up your sewer

ahhh you dont wipe after baby?? I'm so early and a first time mom, I know nothing!! lol. that's smart about the aquaphor/ vaseline! Good call on the flushables, no clue how I'd explain that one!! haha

I would def try some flushable wet wipes to see if that helps, some TP can be harsh!

I nicked my hoo pretty bad one time trimming with sharp sissors. SUCKED.

omg that sounds horrible..!! Ok, stopping at CVS on the way home to get wipes and aquaphor... I think the women there know my whole life story. 1) pregnancy tests x10 or however many I took (because I'm a nut and wanted to see lines get darker...), 2) Prenatals and panty liners and now 3) wipes and aquaphor. haha

Don't worry OP, I think I win on the stupid front. I thought I found blood in my CM when wiping when I was about 12 weeks. Turns out it was fibers from my red pj bottoms.

I would get Tucks medicated pads but still use them sparingly because they aren't that great for sewer systems. Be really careful with baby wipes because I don't believe they are safe for sewers. Well, at least the ones I use aren't.

Have no advise just wanted to thank you all for your advise and stories. It's this kind of eye opening hilarity that makes me glad I joined the bump. Ironically, I laughed so hard I peed a little #-o Just another joy of the process.
