Twin pregnancy.... Panicking!

Hey all! I introduced myself several weeks ago as a FTM and pregnant with twins. In almost 17 weeks now and the shock had pretty much worn off.... Well, I went to a shower today and was holding a friend of mines 8 month old, wen I realized holy crap I'm gonna have TWO of these soon. And now I'm pretty sure I'm having a panic attack. Just tell me it's gonna be ok!

Re: Twin pregnancy.... Panicking!

  • Yes, it will be okay.  It may not be easy or enjoyable at all times, but you will survive :)

  • Don't panic.  It will be ok. The first few months will probably be a bit rough but you will get through it - line up lots of help for those first 3-4 months.

  • It will be just fine!  You'll get through it because it's your only option.  There will be rough times, but eventually you'll get to the fun times and you'll see that it's SO worth it.  I love seeing my twins (19 months) play together now.  Makes my heart melt.  :)

  • Thanks y'all! It's those first months that scare me the most! But I know we' ll get through them. My fam lives 2 hours away so ill be pretty much on my own after the first couple weeks. My mom has a 7 year old so she can't keep her out of school just so she can help me... I loveeeee having a baby sister but this is one of those times I wish I was the youngest! Lol
  • The days will be long, but the weeks go by fast. Before you know it they will be three months and life will get a ton easier!

  • Totally normal! I had the same exact thought when I held a newborn when I was 30 weeks pregnant. Scooping them both up will become second nature! Actually, you will feel like something's missing if you are only holding/feeding/snuggling one baby. :)
