I have my 28 week appt and RhoGam shot today. May try to stop and get TDAP on the way home since someone is watching DD. For some reason, I remember someone on here saying you can't do them on the same day. Is that true? I'll ask my OB anyway.
Regular ob appt and growth scan with the MFM today. Hoping to see my baby A's belly grow a bit. Also fingers crossed that they schedule my c-section! I just want a date set!
I have a follow up ultrasound for my SCH that doesn't seem to want to disappear. I also have my glucose test plus RhoGam shot. It's going to be a fun morning!
Good luck to all you ladies today!

Question for those getting the RhoGam shot (@LilNunz1 and @tdf2010) I have no idea about this shot, or how I would know wheher I am Rh positive or negative, or whether DH is positive or negative. I don't recall ever going over this with any of my OBs... is it something I should be asking them about?
@babygabe614 when you got all your initial blood work done, they typed your blood. You only need it if you are negative, not DH. I'd ask them what your blood type is just to be sure. Good luck at your appt!
All good here! Got the shot in my butt. Measuring on track, heartbeat good! Scheduled my appts thru 36 weeks which is exciting! I guess I get another u/s at 36 weeks to check position and fluid so that's a fun surprise.
I had my 28 week u/s, appt, 1 hr GT, and rhogam last Tuesday. Have to go back today for them to check my BP (since it was crazy high) and give me the results of my 1 hour GT and the 24 hour urirne test I completed over the weekend. If i'm not able to get my BP down to normal they will put me on bed rest (possible hospital stay) ... Hoping it goes amazing and I get off the hook

My appointment went very well along with lots of pokes. Baby is looking good and measuring about a week ahead. My weight gain has slowed way down, but my doctor isn't concerned since baby is growing so well. My SCH is still there and not really shrinking at all. I will have another ultrasound in 4 weeks. I got my TDaP and RhoGam. Now I'm just waiting for my glucose test results, hoping I pass.

I have an appointment with my OB. Getting the results of my Glucose test (mine was 2 hours not 1) also getting my Rhogam and Tdap shots.. Woooh fun for me!! Hahaha
I had a regular baby check up at 10:45 this morning. My blood pressure was a little high. I have a bit of white coat syndrome. I can check BP at home and it be fine and then at the Drs its always high. So anyways, my Dr wants me to do a 24 hour urine collection. I am not looking forward to carrying the jug to the bathroom and keeping it in the fridge (EW!) but oh well.
On the positive note, next week I get a growth ultrasound I was not expecting. We haven't seen the baby for 12 weeks so I am SO excited to see how big she is now.
Oh and on a funny note: while the doctor was trying to find her heartbeat, she kicked the doppler really hard! It was too cute.
I have my 28 week appoiment at 1 which is also when my glucose test ends. I haven't eaten since 9 last night. I am sooooo hungry. DH and DS went to the store and bought me a doughnut and a yogurt, can't wait.
@PinkKEL9 I did the 24 hour urine test over the weekend. We setup an ice chest for the jug next to the toilet and I had some plastic solo cups sitting near by. It worked out MUCH better than having to go to the frig every time.

Appt follow up with my generalist for breathing issues complicated by pregnancy.
I have activity induced asthma and this growing baby is not helping. Blood pressure was awesome at 102/68 but pulse was low - 52. They made me stay until they could get a reading over 60. Oxygen stats are great at rest, but as soon as I start moving around it drops below 90. I've been told to limit activity as much as I can and walk slow, avoid the stairs, and try to keep calm. Doc contacted the OB to see about using oral steroids to help keep me breathing.
ETA: Also had the Tdap today!

I had a growth ultrasound this morning...wish I could've left it feeling a little bit better. Baby A has been measuring behind--right at 17%--while baby B is somewhere in the 50s. The doctor spent quite a bit of time checking umbilical blood flow, and he's concerned that baby A may be experiencing some placental breakdown. It's never a good sign when your doctor asks whether you've had steriods yet. We're now going to be monitored weekly, but he definitely raised the possibility of early delivery if the baby's growth continues to drop off. Blah...as much as I've bitched and moaned about already measuring full-term, these kids aren't ready to come out yet, and I'm definitely not ready for them!!! Keeping my fingers crossed that things look stable at next week's appointment.
28 week appointment today. Good thing I have it today because I've discovered some light spotting. The last time I had spotting it was on a day that I had a doctor's appointment (and coincidentally saw the same doctor in the practice I'm seeing tonight). At least this baby girl is consistent? I don't have cramping and she's still dancing around in there, but if I didn't have an appointment today I'd definitley be making one.
I had my every-four-week check up (I'm 28 weeks this week) and 1 hour glucose test today. Got two awesome ultrasound pics of baby girls face and one where she is sticking out her toe. The doc actually was like, "Look at that toe! I gotta get that pic." lol, excited to show DH after we get home from work tonight. Heartbeat, measurements, weight gain all on track (I'm gaining about a pound a week she said.)
Hoping I pass the Glucose test, the 3 hour one sounds horrifying. She said I should know by tomorrow. Orange drink wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be, but it did bring on some nausea.
Ladies...I have NO idea what a Rhogam, Tdap and NST are. So.sad.to.admit. Help a FTM out, eh?
Just got done with my 28 week appt... now I'm sitting in the waiting room waiting to be called back to get blood drawn for my glucose test and to have my thyroid checked... I wonder why they don't just send you home with the nasty glucose drink ahead of time so that you can drink it BEFORE your appt so you're not waiting for what feels like an eternity to get called back in. My last OB was smart and did this... sure saved me a good hour of my life.
On a side note, Dr mentioned doing a "routine" ultrasound around 32 weeks... and since they only do ultrasounds on Wednesdays, I might just get lucky enough to have mine done on my birthday! Fingers crossed, that'd be am awesome way to spend the morning of my 23rd birthday!
@ugabamafans Thank you so much! I had forgotten all about what tdap stood for, I believe I've had that pre-pregnancy (but in the appropriate time frame to not need one again....) which is why my OB hasn't brought it up. I'm going to double-check this though.
Just got home from my 30 week growth US with MFM. Baby measures 14%, which is a little on the low side. I'm type 1 diabetic, which actually increases the risk for IUGR due to placenta issues. We're going to repeat the US in two weeks and go from there. Grow baby grow!
@BMaidPlanner - At the practice I go to (possibly/probably standard elsewhere too) the Rhogam shot is only given when the mother is RH- and the father is RH+. From what I've read, the primary concern is often for second/future pregnancies in the event that the mother's and child's RH factors differ since without the shot, the mother is likely to develop antibodies to RH+ blood, which can cause severe problems for the future fetus/newborn. (see link for additional information: https://www.pregnancy.org/article/rh-incompatibility-and-why-you-need-rhogam). It can cause issues with the current pregnancy as well if the mother has already developed a sensitization to RH+ blood (and the fetus is RH+) or if there if the mother is exposed to her fetus' RH+ blood for some reason prior to delivery.
Update I had to stay for about four hours but all my labs can back great so they didn't make me stay told me to relax ( so easy to do ) and I am on the very week appt now but thanks goodness no bed rest thanks for ur t&p today means a lot
Appointment went well today. My baby A's belly is measuring right on track; the discrepancy last week must have been a positioning thing. Each baby is just over 2 lbs and they are measuring within a couple days of each other. After my next growth scan, I go to monthly scans. My OB put in the request to get a c-section date on the calendar (he is getting married later in June and I want to get on his schedule), but I also learned today that the girls flipped head down so now I am back to stressing over whether or not to attempt a vaginal again. I got to see my little girls' faces today, and for the first time all pregnancy, they actually look alike :-). That was fun.
Had my first perinatologist appointment this morning and also a growth u/s. He is measuring a little big (81st percentile), which I am told is "high average." I get another growth scan in a month to see where he is at, size wise.
The doctor went over all of my "conditions" (high BMI, GD, and hypertension), all of the risks for each one, and what the plan is. I left feeling a little overwhelmed and was glad DH was there to remember the things that I didn't.
I start sending in my blood sugars 2x weekly and taking medicine for my GD and BP. After 32 weeks I will most likely be in 2x a week for NST, urine tests, and weekly ultrasounds, on top of my regular OB appointments (yikes that seems like a lot). AND they told me there is no way they are going to let me go past 39 weeks. So, there is that. I am walking around with my freaked out smile
My monthly appt went well. Baby is measuring on track and HB was strong. I go back in 3 weeks for another checkup and my TDap shot, then switch to every other week!
I've been going weekly the past several weeks due to my PTL issues. My doctor is giving me a pass for next week and my next appointment is in 2 weeks.
Long morning of appointments today. I had my 3 hour glucose test, my 28 week appointment and my weekly progesterone shot. By time I got home I was worn out.
DH and I will be getting our TDap shot next week when I pop into my OBs office for my weekly injection. We are also asking anyone that will be around the baby to get the shot, which so dad everyone has already received it. The local hospital offers them free, so there's really no excuse.
Turns out my spotting was nothing, doctor told me not to be concerned but checked for any bacterial infections just in case which I should hear back about in a few days. Baby's heart beat was great, after she kicked the doppler three times and the doctor could get a clear sound.
My next appointment is in 2 weeks and I'll ask about the TDap shot then and see what my doctors say.
Tried to update from my iPad yesterday but the site was being a jerk.
All of my test results came back fine (glucose test, 24 hour urine test, blood work). But my blood pressure is still crazy high. I have to stay on modified bed rest and continue to monitor my blood pressure from home. I have to go back to the DR in 2 weeks (unles my blood pressure gets over a certain number) and then will be going every week to ultrasounds so they can keep track of LO growth and make sure she is not stressed out.
