I am in! But I am close enough that I will likely just drive down first thing in the morning on Saturday, then drive home in the evening. (This does mean I will have to confine any wine-drinking to afternoon, but I suspect I will not be drinking alone!)
As a non-teacher, I have to work all summer, so I probably won't have enough vacation time available to take Friday off from work, and I don't want to miss out on an entire weekend with DH and DD since that's really our only family time. Just let me know when and where I should meet up with you ladies!
I am going to try to come but I haven't talked to DH about it yet. I also will likely only drive/take a train Saturday morning and go back in the evening. The other thing to consider is I'll be 7 months pregnant at that point, so it might depend on how I feel too.

I can go either way on the bringing the kids thing. The drive would be faster if I leave her with DH since I won't have to stop for a snack and/or diaper change, but if there will be other kids there, it would be neat for her to hang out with other kids her own age. We don't have many friends with kids her age up here, so she doesn't get as much of that interaction as I'd like.
If I do bring her, I'd probably head down around her bedtime on Friday night, check into a hotel late, and then be there all day Saturday and drive home again around bedtime. Then I could still drive straight through, since shed be asleep the whole time. But either way I can be there on Saturday in time for brunch/mimosas!
i'm just 30 mins outside DC, but will be 8 mos preggo, so wine-related activities are meh. still, it would be great to meet some people, so i'll try to participate somehow.
Ahhh it is going to be to far. There is no way DH would consent to me flying to DC by myself to meet my internet friends at 7 months pregnant. He just doesn't understand us. I want pictures posted all weekend long though, so I can pretend I am there!
Everyone is leaving kids at home, right? There is no way I could get away without them and it wouldn't really be any fun for me (or anyone else) if I'm chasing four kids around while everyone else is indulging in the wine.
The only way it's possible is if I can talk my mom into driving down with me and watching the kids at my sister's while I come to DC for the day.

Why do all the bumpies on this board live on the East Coast, or in Ohio or Michigan?? There ARE other parts of this lovely country to see, people! (In case it wasn't clear, I'm out. Have a vacation scheduled later in July.)
I soo wish I could make it and make REAL friends. But I live in CO and DH isn't soo keen on me flying to DC baby and me to meet internet friends. Plus I'm hoping to be knocked up by then. And we have 5 small vacas planned between May and September. Will love seeing pictures. Enjoy everyone.
I wish everyone could be there. If i were a kajillionaire, I would buy everyone a plane ticket and rent us a huge villa in Italy and we would have it there, all expenses paid.
Maybe we'll Skype you guys in. It can be like Marshall on the iPad in HIMYM.
With mimosas abound! And Bloody Marys. (Please tell me we will go to a brunch place with a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar)
