~*~ Tuesday's Getting Healthy Check-In ~*~ / Show off your shoes!

Merry Tuesday Ladies!

This check-in is not necessarily exercise-related.  I know a lot of us are trying to eat healthier and give up bad habits thanks to the motivation of pregnancy/new baby, so any kind of getting heathy is welcome here!

What did you do last week?

What are your plans for this week?

What's your long-term/mid-term goal?

GTKY: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

Extra bonus GTKY: PIP your running shoes!  Or, if you're not into running, your work-out shoes.  Or, if you're not into that, just your favorite shoes!

And the leader board for participation!!

11 weeks strong, tied for first:
@kdc2007 - Maybe your stomach bug helps toward the waist-reduction goal even if you couldn't work out?  Hope you're feeling better!
@NicoleReed0324 - It's wonderful that LO is so cooperative with your workouts - I hope it continues!
@phishgirl29 - Excellent job keeping up with your routine!
@Pitchslap - Hopefully the chiropractor helps you as much as it did for @calikat80!
@tiffletons518 - I hope your house is full of healthy people this week!

With 6 weeks - @calikat80 - I'm so glad your chiropractor was able to help so much!

With 4 weeks - @ItsStackie - My job is to be your guys' cheerleader ;-)  Or just to run the check-in ... you know, same difference.

With 3 weeks - @LBeez13 - Good luck finding a workout class you're into!

And last but certainly not least with 2 weeks - @tttwalters - *Only* ran?  That's a wonderful thing to keep up!

@tiffleton518 - heelers aka Australian cattle dogs are super lovey and super spazzy.

We almost adopted one a year ago, but realized one spazzy mutt would be enough especially with a baby on the way.

  • @kdc2007 I've always wanted a border collie, but know they need a lot of attention too. My parents have an Australian Shepard though which I helped raise, he was a frisbee champ too until he had some hind leg problems. I love my mutt, but sometimes I just wish she were fluffier like Collies. Maybe when we are ready for our next dog we will tell the SPCA our preferences.

  • @tttwalters, turns out I'm an 11 too. The running store lady kind of gave me the side eye and said my selections would be limited :)

  • @tttwalters‌ I did an ultra relay. I ran about 36 miles over 24 hours (3 long legs). It was brutal but so cool! If I did it again I would do a 12 person instead of a 6 person team because it was intense then and I was at my peak fitness. Ultras can be really fun, the thing is you really have to want to do it or it will just suck.

  • Last week: skipped a few workouts but I did well with my food!

This week: hit the weights and treadmill!

Goal: tone up tummy! Csections suck :(

I would love to be a giraffe. It's my favorite animal ever.

Here's my shoes! A Christmas gift from my parents to go along with the treadmill they got me! I love themimage
  • What did you do last week?I continued my 4 days of hard workouts. My husband and I also took baby K and went and ran the trail around the lake downtown. It is a big thing to do in Austin so it was a nice fun Saturday workout for us.

What are your plans for this week? I just want to stay consistent and continue my 4-5 workouts.

What's your long-term/mid-term goal? Long-term goal is 15 pounds. Mid term goal to reach by end of April is to lose around 8 pounds.

GTKY: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? I never know how to answer this question. Everyone always has something cool to say and I can never think of anything. I guess I would pick monkey and I have no idea why.

Extra bonus GTKY: PIP your running shoes!  Or, if you're not into running, your work-out shoes.  Or, if you're not into that, just your favorite shoes!

I don't have a pic on my comp but I always wear Nike Free's to run.
