  Does your DC have video cameras? It might help if you can check in on her during the day so that you can see how she is doing. I am glad that drop off went well though - I know how hard a decision this was for you.

  My vent is regarding DH. DS has been waking up at night recently due to illness and teething. Usually we take turns waking up with him but DH is never able to get DS to go back to sleep after waking up with him. I think DS knows that if he cries long enough, DH will take him to bed with him. As a result, I end up waking up even when it's my night to sleep because DH asks me to help put him back to bed. Doesn't help that I have pregnancy insomnia and can't go back to sleep after waking up.

  Planning to talk to DH tonight about a plan to handle DS's waking up and to split the baby related chores more evenly. Right now I feed DS dinner when I get home, put him to bed, make dinner after he's in bed and do all his laundry. Something has to give!

  I just want to blink and have this week be over.  It's going to be very chaotic with DH going on a Business Trip T-Th meaning I have to do DC pick up and drop off which I don't normally do so therefore I will be in late to work/leaving early those 3 days and hoping no one judges me.  Whatever, I gotta do what I gotta do...but I really want Friday to come quickly so DH is back and it's back to "normal"

  @ss265, this place doesn't have cameras though it's an open door policy and all the rooms have huge windows that I can peek into from the side without my daughter really noticing that I've lingered around to see how she's doing. I lingered for 10 minutes or so after saying the last goodbye - she poked around to see what the new classroom has to offer, then came back to her blocks and by then a friendly little girl had joined her and they seemed to be making friends, so I left. I'll probably go and view from the window for a bit before going in today at pick up. 

  
  

  @PrivacyWanted - our daughter also had some GI upset a few weeks ago and the first sign that something was off was that she was having accidents all over the place, really out of nowhere. It seemed really odd but we pieced it together with the illness the following day. Good call on keeping your DD home. I hope she's feeling better soon!

  I'm still on ML but our department received an email this morning that a coworker who worked down the hall from me was killed in a car accident on Friday.   I realized this morning I am a course shy of being done with my PhD coursework phase at the end of this semester.  How my count is off, I have no idea since I have done my course chart 5,000 times!  Of course there is no advisor or software that keeps track of graduate progression.  Regardless, I am happy I realized it now so I can double up this summer (with my independent research) and still take my comprehensive exams when planned.  Of course there are not any good summer classes offered and the only two that would work end right on or two weeks after my due date - I picked the earlier of the two and am just hoping I can begin the work before the start date to finish early.  To make it better, there is no faculty listed so I cannot email to explain my circumstances and get the syllabus (assuming its written).  Ticked at myself for making this mistake!

  MY nanny (my mother) is looking for work and took a crappy pt job 4p-8p and it's going to kill us! My dh and I work and depend on my mother to pick up dd at school and start dinner...I know I'm lucky but now that she took this pt job it's going to hinder our routine.   On the plus side, you have a really awesome co-worker who let you borrow their car. Sorry about the rest though, that sounds like a tough day.
