Is gerber good start formular good ?

We have been using similac brand but lo is fuzzy so we switched to sensitive similac but found no different ; the ped suggested gerber brand ; I have not heard of this brand. Any advices ? Which is better similac vs enfamil vs gerber ?

I recommend gerber ! ITs much gentler on their tummies than Enfamil IMO. Never tried similac.

We use gerber good start (supplement with breast feeding) and LO likes it. Our LO was two weeks early and under 6lbs and this was the formula that was recommended at the hospital.

When lo was born we had to supplement twice in the hospital and that's what the hospital gave us to use. We had no problems with it

We use Gerber too. We started on enfamil newborn which made DS constipated, and he didn't like endamil gentlease. Wouldn't eat it at all. He likes Gerber good start gentle and isn't constipated any more

We had my DS on Neocate, a hypoallergenic formula.

My pedi had us introduce Gerber Gentle last week to see if he had outgrown his reflux and allergies. She said it is more broken down than Enfamil Gentlease or Similac Sensitive and easier to digest. So far so good. He is keeping it down and does not seem to have the least bit of discomfort.

We are using the Gerber Gentle, also, for our three week old. She had a couple fussy nights and I brought it up at her two-week check, just to see if the ped might recommend something better. However, she said that she loves the Gerber because it is so easily digestible, and usually has patients switch TO it, rather than FROM it.

So far it is good for stomach upset and gas but lo is spitting up alot and sometime vomit and gurgle back of his throat that often wake him up ; it is so uncomfortable since he does the mouth chewing a lot then try to clear the throat and some time cough like he is choking ! Any one experience this with gerber gentle ? He did not had this with similac

I'm actually experiencing this with Enfamil Newborn. We started out on Gerber and then switched to Enfamil Newborn. Bad move. My son constantly spits up and gurgles..pretty much everything you described. But I guess every baby is different. I'll definitely be switching back to Gerber.

I noticed this too, but the clumps did dissolve by the time DD finished the bottle. Maybe it helps that my DD is a slow eater. I wish I had more coupons! I think DD liked it the best. Right now, I'm feeding DD Similac because we got lots of samples and coupons for them and DD is okay with almost any formula except for gentlease. She absolutely refuses to drink that.

As far as clumping - at our grocery store they sell concentrate of the Gerber in little 12oz cartons. It's a little bit more expensive but much easier to prepare.
