STM BF Similac for supplmentation

I was curious if anyone is using Similac for supplementation currently. When I BF my first I occasionally used formula (daycare, low pumping day, traveling etc). I see that Similac has a new supplementations brand. Has anyone used this? What are your thoughts on the product with your LO? BM's, gas, fussy etc. I am due in May and was thinking of getting some for the just in case situations.

    I don't use it but I do have samples from the pedi for "just in case." I'll probably use it if we do have to supplement. If we end up switching completely to formula I'll probably use something cheaper.

    We used similac advance when my supply was low and I had to supplement with formula, the reason being it was the only kind he would drink! Many many other brands/kinds he completely rejected. We recently tested out Baby's Own organic and he seems to like that which is good because I am happier using an organic type and one that's not made by the big pharma companies. Now my supply is up we rarely use formula but I don't have a freezer stash because I can't pump enough for that so when I'm gone for an extended period of time (i.e. work travel) then we use formula.

    Similac advance and similac for supplementation are the same formula except for the supplementation has 10% more probiotics in it.... According to the hospital where we had our daughter.

    Honestly, it bugs me. It's deceptive.

    It's formula. Same as all the imitation baby milk.

    I think they should be ashamed of themselves for trying to insinuate bf moms need to supplement. There are going to be moms who are deceived by this.

    I use it for occasional bottles.
    I bought it with the mail coupons thinking just in case, and it's been handy to have.

    Apparently I'm their target because I definetly fell for the bait- the formula aisle is overwhelming so I saw supplementation and thought 'perfect'!

    I'm glad to know its the same as Similac advanced and no big deal, so if I run out I do to HAVE to buy more.

    To answer your questions, LO likes it just fine, no issues. she gets max 1 bottle a day a few times a week.

    I had issues with my supply with #1 so I thought of getting a back up just in case.
