April Fools anyone?

I searched and haven't seen this posted yet and with April fools day approaching, what practical jokes are you planning?

I plan to cut a whole in the big toe of all DH's socks. He needs new one anyways, and it makes me giggle thinking about him putting on a pair, then laughing, but not realizing all of his socks will be like this.  Im sure after the second pair he will figure it out, but it still makes me giggle.

  • I am fairly certain I can say, with complete honesty, that I have never pulled an April Fools Joke.  Ever.

  • We are not that big into it really, but once in a while I will come up with something funny to do, last year I couldnt think of anything, but DH got me with the sprayer on the sink.  He taped it down and had it set up to spray directly at me, so without thinking I turned the water on to do dishes or whatever it was I need the water for, and sure enough I got soaked.  Harmless things, but it's payback this year.

  • I've never done anything and I can't think of anything that has been done to me.

  • We never do April Fools stuff. As it is, DH will be away for training and it's not like I'm going prank my 2 year old.

  • We occasionally do something low key to prank each other but never anything destructive. It would be a PITA to go replace all of his socks just for the sake of a practical joke.

    Meh.
It's only funny if both parties are in on it. If I were to make my coffee in the morning and find out hubby had switched the sugar for salt- that would likely get my day off to a horrible start and given that I don't have time to make a second cup, really not be appreciated.
    We're not big on pranks.
  • We don't usually do anything.  Only thing I usually do is tell my dad there is a spider on/near him but it's old and he knows it's not true.

This year, since I've yet to "come out" on FB I plan on posting "I'm almost 8 month pregnant" and in the comments below that say "April Fools, OR NOT?"  Most of my "real" friends on FB know but the majority of my acquaintances/HS friends who don't know may get fooled.  I'm having a 3D/4D u/s done on April 4th so I plan on posting pics of my cutie from that as my profile pic after-that and be "FB official" finally.  It's not like if these people saw me out in public they couldn't figure it out!

IF I was wanting to actually prank my husband this year I might would paint clear nail polish over the bar soap that he uses to wash his hands with and make him wonder why it's not lathering up but I doubt I waste a bar of soap and take that much effort to prank him.

  • @FAWKES81

I like your soap idea, and less expensive than putting holes in his socks and having to buy him new ones.

  • I try not to play any jokes bit it is my bday. When I was younger we always palyed jokes on our family.
  • lol if I cut a hole in all DH's socks and then leave him to be surprised at 5 am he might finally go over the deep end. But I don't think we're doing any pranks; we never have to each other. I used to leave scary things in my sister's bed.

I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.

If anyone feels like pranking a co-worker, take a few pieces of tape and stick it over the laser on the bottom of their mouse.  Sometimes one doesn't work enough and it requires a couple layers.

Another good thing to do to a co-worker if they leave their computers unlocked is to flip the monitor upside down.  Ctrl + Alt + Down Arrow will flip it upside down.  You can also turn it to the left or right by hitting Ctrl + Alt + Left Arrow/Right Arrow.  It total messes with people because the mouse works whichever way the monitor is turned.  To turn it back hit Ctrl + Alt + Up Arrow.

    Happy Co-worker pranking.  :)

Those would be fun. Except that as the "computer expert" (put in quotes because I in no way deserve this title but have earned it because I know how to use Microsoft Office) I'd have to fix it. And I'd probably forget how.

This!  My coworkers ask me how to open a damn PDF attachment...so I generally try to stay away from anything computer related because they just wouldn't get it (and I'd have to fix it anyways).

Although, for my boss' 50th birthday, I did set his desktop background and screen saver to a bunch of 'over the hill' pictures, then gave him a book that was "Computers for Dummies: For Seniors" and told him if he ever wanted it off, that he'd have to figure out how to do it himself.  LOL.
  • @Rachel5130‌ I could totally see you doing something awesome!

we never really got too into it since it's my brothers birthday. my dad sometimes would put a rubber cockroach in an envelope folded up with a letter and put it in my aunts mailbox so when she opened the letter it would fall out. and then she would call and scream at my dad. it was always funny as a kid.

The first year we were together, I pranked my DH by tell him I was pregnant. We were in college and he comes from a very "well-behaved" family, so he lost his mind. When I told him it was a joke he didn't talk to me for several days. He still gets mad when our friends bring it up; I felt like karma came back for me when we had issues TTC.

Anyways, that's one of the only jokes I've ever been able to pull off, so we don't do much. I can't top my MIL still believing pigeons can only open their wings so many times before they can't fly anymore.

    Edit: words are hard
  • I've done the faucet sprayer and the salt for sugar, both were well worth it!  Not sure I'll do anything this year, as I'm finding it hard to think and he's not really into pranks...

  • My husband and I are pranksters and love a good laugh! Not sure what I will do this year yet.

I taped the handle on the sprayer in the kitchen sink so when he turned in the faucet he got wet.

One year in middle school I egged people at school (teachers and students) but I had taken the egg out first so it was just the empty shells.
