In September, she was wearing winter clothes in 9 months.  At Christmas, 12 months only.  The many relatives we see only at Christmas always buy her winter clothes for the next year, so we have a lot of 24 month clothes.  Now she can't wear many 12 month clothes and we are having to get some 18 month winter clothes.  She has inherited her father's torso, so already the 24 month shirts are slightly too short.  She has a big head, so depending on the brand, she can't wear any size of some clothes.  Some 12 month pants, most 18 month pants, and all 24 month pants are too long, but many 12 months pants are too tight.  Plus, people keep giving us jeggings, which make no sense.  They don't come up enough to cover her behind, even with a trim disposable diaper, and with her shirts too short, her there is a huge amount of diaper showing.  Since the jeggings don't fit at her waist, they slide down, and then the inseam slides down and inhibits her legs from moving.  Um, yeah, my baby can't walk well, but that's because she has terrible pants.  Plus, I think her feet grew two sizes in the last few weeks, and now she can't wear shoes we were saving for walking outside after the snow melts.  Does anyone else struggle like this?  I am starting to suspect that we're going to have to start shopping higher-end brands and just not use what a lot of old relatives buy at Kohls.  She needs clothes cut for babies rather than teens, with give and buttons or similar around the neck.  Rant over.

Re: baby clothes rant
DS' clothes almost never fit all that well. I've kind of just accepted it.
DD wore 3 month clothes until Christmas (10 months old) then wore 6 months clothes for no time at all and now has moved on to 9 months because the 6 months are too short......I have no idea if 9 months will get us through the summer or if I should be getting some 12 month too for when she needs them.
Related but not related....I hate baby shoes. Until now she has gone barefoot because she does not leave shoes or socks on. She needs hard soled shoes move up to the next room at daycare since they play outside but she doesn't walk. I'd like some tennis shoes type shoes or whateve that will be harder to take off. There in lies my problem. I have not been able to find ANY hard soled (appropriate for outside) shoes that come any smaller than a size 2. The problem is that most of the size 2's are way too big on her. I finally found one pair that fit. They are kinda clunky thought so not very good for learning to walk and not so cute......but I guesss they work :-( So frustrating!
