Just got back from my 28 week appt. Still whining about my arm hurting from the DTAP but the glucose and blood draw were both fine. Now I just hope they don't call since they said if I don't hear from them tomorrow then no news is good news. I didn't do the rhogam shot since DH is also a negative blood type and therefore no chance of an interaction. My doctor teased if I was sure on the father but otherwise it wasn't a big deal to deny it since it isn't medically necessary. My next appointment is two weeks away, how did I already get to the point where I am going every two weeks? Also am I a sugar freak since even though I did the glucose test this morning I still have my eye on the candy someone dropped in the breakroom leftover from a trade show.....they have snickers....I can't say no right?
30 week appointment at my high risk dr, so I get to see LO today and see how big he has gotten. Hopefully they give me a date for my c-section already!
I was going to say, @LilNunz1, someone's feeling a little spunky today
No appointment for me (at least not until Friday), but I did call to get my GTT results - 105!!! I'm doing a happy dance, since with M, I got to take two one-hour GTT tests AND the three-hour test - even though I passed all of them. They assured me this week that if I passed the first (which I took early on) and this one, I wouldn't have to do the three hour. So this girl is doing a happy dance.
Doctor gave me steroids for this raging infection. She liked the numbers from my home blood sugars so no glucose test for me!! Yay!! I told her about my weird Pica moment where I wanted to eat soap so she ran my iron, lol. It was a good visit all in all.
I had my GTT test this morning. I was nauseated about 12 minutes after drinking the orange drink. I then went to my 28 week doctor appointment while waiting for the hour to be up. They had my echo results and they were all NORMAL! Such a relief, but that means there is still no reason for why the arrhythmia and tachycardia are happening. I guess I'll find out what the plan is tomorrow when I see the cardiologist again. The baby is head down. HB was in the 160s as usual. BP and urine were good. The doctor even said my weight was good and I have already gained 35 lbs. He said I don't need to come back for another 4 weeks b/c everything is fine and I'll start every two weeks after that.
Yay, @MegK82 - so glad everything seems to be looking just fine!
I had my GD test this morning. I actually liked the orange drink, but it didn't sit very well during the hour wait. My fundal height is measuring on track now! Next appointment in two weeks.
Did any of you get the DTAP at your OB's office? My doctor hasn't mentioned it yet and I keep forgetting to ask.
@CDK211- I'm sorry to hear about the hole, but happy to hear he had a growth spurt! You and your son are in my thoughts and prayers.

@Dharmatron That is where I got mine today was at the OB. They mentioned it but otherwise I was going to ask. With DS I didn't get it until I was at the hospital right after birth..... I think the 3rd trimester thing is a new recommendation so I'd ask next time just in case your OB isn't as up to date on the newest suggestions from the CDC
Just got back from my 30 week checkup. Little Miss looks great. Growing right on track. She also turned head down so we were able to get a good profile shot of her finally. My AP was always in the way when she was head up. Here she is:
I now have to go every week for an ultrasound due to the beta blocker I'm on for my BP and heart rate (he was having me go every other week). My doc just wants to make sure she keeps growing on track and to check fluid until I deliver. Which reminds me...we finally have a birth date! May 23rd is the big day. (Sorry Junies, y'all are stuck with me. It's way too late in the game to switch to May plus y'all are too bad ass to leave anyways)
On top of the weekly ultrasounds, I have to see my doc every other week which is normal at this point in the game. All in all, it was another good appointment. Only 8 1/2 weeks left!

@CDK211 Totally sucks it opened up again, but I'm glad at least that it was within the realm of what you were sort of expecting, so at least it wasn't an unfortunate surprise (and it sounds like you got other positive news about growth, so yay for that!)
Had my 28 week appt. Waited FOREVER (DH says he thinks the entirety of our county is pregnant, lol), but measured on track, pee-sugar is good, but had a bit of protein in it, so kinda worried about that (looked it up when I got home, protein in the pee would be preeclampsia, but I don't have any other symptoms). Got the DTAP, and I plan on going to the hospital tomorrow for all the blood tests. I didn't have it in me to make my hubby sit through all that today, he was miserable waiting! I don't really care about waiting a long time, I'll just make sure and have a book tomorrow!
Had my rhogam shot and did my glucose test today fun stuff!
I met one of the new doctors at my practice today and she wants to do another ultra sound (this will be my fourth) because she thinks I am not as far along as my other doctors have said. I really feel like she should have discussed this with my doctors before freaking me out and making me think there is something wrong
For a variety of reasons, I had a follow up growth ultrasound today. LO looks great, still no concerns for health or structural development...but he's measuring big! 78th %ile overall and 95th %ile for head size! DD's head size is off the charts and DH and I have fairly big heads, so I'm not suprised really. It's all the brains I'm sure haha Anyways we will have a follow up growth scan in 6 weeks. Given my DD's birth and huge head, I'm thinking they may suggest some means of getting him out a little early (induction or c section) so I don't have lasting damage. This makes me pretty nervous, so we will see!
Here's a picture from today next to a picture of DD when she was only a few weeks old. Love my babies!
@hampire I hope everything is okay with baby! I cried yesterday too because they told me baby is measuring small for my apparent due date, good luck try to relax!
Re: Monday Appointmentz

@Jennylou0604 she's precious! yay for head down and a birthday!
Standard 28 week checkup today. BP is fine, results from GTT came back normal. Little guy is feet down though. Hopefully he goes head down soon.
