It's a phase. Just a little separation anxiety. My 7th month old is going through it now. I guess it can really peak from 8-10 months (I believe that's what I read- no sleep makes for a blurry mind!). My LO will play on the floor with his toys for a few minutes and then wants me to hold him or just let him climb all over me. If I leave the room, it's melt down time.

We are hoping it will pass soon. Babies gonna baby!

Edit- Some tips. Talk to your LO when you leave the room ex "I will be right back" and continue to talk. Let your LO be a little independent if they are crawling (safely of course) like if your LO crawls into another room or a space where she can't see you- let her stay for a minute alone before coming in and moving her. Also- I don't think this is the time for her to cry and it out and fuss. Let her know that you are there and are coming back as this is all about your LO realizing that you can go away. Also if you're doing a daycare drop off- do a quick goodbye but always say goodbye. But don't keep coming back or try to comfort her- it will make things harder.
