How's your weekend?

I took L to Little Gym and shopping this morning and then went home where my child took a nearly 3 hour nap. That never happens. Too bad I left for the office an hour in. I am actually really glad I went in. I got a ton done and feel like I am in a much better place for Monday.

DH made a sweet potato & chorizo hash for dinner. Now I am ready for bed. One beer and I am so tired. I need to either have more or go to sleep. blah.

We took our dog to the groomer and then went out to breakfast this morning. After a short nap for the LO, we went to look at a house. We've spent the rest of the afternoon debating if it's the right house for us. We're now watching Shark Tank and I'll probably end up going to be pretty early.

Luci and I hung out today while DH worked. I'm trying not to freak out about Monday because this could be the career break that I have been wanting. But I'm also nervous because it came up so fast and unexpected. I can't wrap my mind around it all and just all over the place.

Luci has been super clingy today too and I am pretty sure she's got 4 teeth coming in....

Not really. Boiled some sweet potatoes until just barely done, browned the chorizo, then took out of pan, added a chopped onion and a smidge of garlic to the meat pan, added the meat and chopped up sweet potatoes, cook for a few minutes. It was really easy. We added some eggs to the top and covered it so they steamed to a finish. I liked it a lot.

My dad and step mom came up today. They went and did some shooting on the farm. I made roast beef, creamed spinach, roasted asparagus, smashed red potatoes and pan gravy for dinner.

G ended up getting bit by one of their dogs. They fought over a toy and she was right there. Two small puncture wounds. One bled. The nurse line said to monitor for infection. She of course took a while to calm down since it happened way past bed time. I freaked out. I went as pale as a ghost and almost puked. I am so terrible with this stuff. I am sure injuries will get worse as she gets older. I don't know how I will survive. My poor step mom feels so terrible. But it really was no one's fault. I'm not angry or anything I just can't deal with injuries.

Have had a pretty typical day: grocery shopping, hanging out around the house, etc.

BIL and his wife are coming for dinner tomorrow so doing some prep for that. Then gonna have a beer, watch some tv and pass out.

Colby took a crappy nap after waking up early. Keagan isn't feeling well. Regardless, DH and I had plans to go out to dinner with friends for a few weeks, so MIL came over and we went out. It was a ton of fun but. I'm exhausted. Hopefully the boys sleep well tonight and sleep in tomorrow

My h is gone for some training and I got a letter from him today (our only way to communicate) saying somehow two pieces of clothing went missing and he needed them replaced ASAP. So I had to drag Audrey to numerous military surplus stores trying to track them down and then overnight them. It was a huge pain and so expensive, I hope nothing else needs to be over nighted!

Last night my neighbor had a seacret party (spa type products if you aren't familiar with seacret). It was fun, Audrey got to run around like a maniac with the other kids and I got to hang out with grown ups, eat good food and test out really nice facial products. I just wish I could have had the delicious wine all the other ladies were having!

Wasn't the best day with the kids, A fell asleep while running errands this morning, so he didn't take a normal afternoon nap. B never took a nap. Both went to bed early and crabby.

The good news is that we're really close to finishing our list of stuff to do and our house is going on the market on Weds!! I'm excited, but really nervous. I hope it goes quickly since it's such a pain to keep the house show ready with two dogs and two kids, but I know I shouldn't have high expectations so I need to be mentally ready for it to be on the market for awhile.

I caught the stomach bug Quinn had and was throwing up all last night. It was absolutely awful. My H had to work and my mom was out of town so my MIL had to come over and watch Quinn since I couldn't get out of bed. Thankfully, it's a 24 hour bug and I am feeling a lot better. I hope my H doesn't get it now.

Tomorrow should be better. I missed taking care of Quinn and it was weird NOT being able to do it. She kept coming in our room saying "hi momma" and blowing me kisses. So damn sweet. Hopefully we can do something fun tomorrow to make up for today.

High-DH & J made pancakes this morning for all of us. Then I got in an hour long workout class at the Y while the boys went to the daycare there. After naptime, we went to Target for a few things (Frozen!). Got to see my 2 day old niece when I stopped by my sister's for a quick minute. Finally got to see Frozen.
Lows-The lady who checked me in at the Y this morning was a bit snotty about me bringing my kids. Not sure why, but I have a single membership And for almost 2 years I've been going & using the daycare occasionally(summer mostly and breaks) My boys are registered in the daycare room and I'm allowed to use all the amenities , so I'm not sure what the problem is but I'm a worrier and I worried about it during the whole exercise class that I was going to get in trouble.
DH had a fantasy baseball draft in the suburbs, so even though he worked insane hours for his trial the past few weeks, including all of last weekend, he left around 9:30 and was gone until almost 5. I.hate.fantasy.sports. Tried to do too much on my own after Target & over-extended myself and DH got in a fight about it.
Oh, we were not doing Highs and lows? My bad. I feel better now.

Just put Eddie back to bed after his first massive middle of the night puke. Worst part is that he threw up all over his stuffed animals that he hates to part with, so he's sick and they're not there with him:(

I spent all day in bed or on the couch with stomach pains. Almost went to urgent care, but now I'm glad I didn't because it's probably just the same thing LO has.

My DH leaves for two weeks in Ireland tomorrow, so it's just sick mama alone with sick LO. This is going to be hard.

ETA Hugs to all you ladies who aren't having the best weekends.

We have DD2s baptism today, followed by a family lunch/celebration. I forget how much work it is to make a meal for 20 people, but we're bringing out fine china/crystal/silver for the adults, so it's going to be fun and way fancier than we ever do. It will be the first time most of our family has seen our new home, too. My mom is staying with us from out of state for the week, so it's amazing having the extra hands helping out.

@PenelopePond‌ That's the thing I'm worried about, maybe I'm *supposed* to have a family membership to use the daycare. No one has ever questioned me before and I am such a rule-follower, that I'm nervous I'm doing it wrong and am going to get "caught". I can't get there during the week, so it's just breaks and weekends. the last time I took both kiddos was over winter break. Usually DH is home on the weekends, so we coordinate some Mommy-time in. But with Spring break this week and summer on the horizon, I'm off and need to work out. But I'm not there enough (minus weekends & breaks)to even justify paying a family membership if they tell me that's what I have to do.
Mostly, I feel bad because someone questioned me on something I didn't know I was doing wrong and now I feel guilty about it. But how was I supposed to know.

@amandad715‌ I totally understand. Their policy isn't very clear, either. It makes it sound like if you have a membership then you get to use the child care. I was really annoyed when they told me I'd need a family pass.

@amandad715‌ ugh, I hate feeling crappy about something I didn't know any better about. If I were you, I'd totally call up and ask their policy as if I were looking into buying a membership for the first time. Then you'd know for sure what the rule is. They should definitely be more clear about it upfront though- don't feel bad!

@dimples12 Thanks- we did have an awesome day! We may have friends over for a "leftovers" dinner party it was so much fun, and we have a ton of really yummy food!

Today, DH decided to pretend like it wasn't cold and like we are not supposed to get snow on Tuesday. He built a play area in the back for L. A 10x10 area with mulch and a raised veggie bed for me right next to it. While he did that L picked up sticks in the yard and I picked up dog poop. Blah.

A little shopping, cleaning, and cooking. All in all a good weekend for once and now I am really tired!

I worked yesterday and today. After work we went to home depot to get some seeds and a starter kit. We planted today. Not a very exciting weekend.

Thanks @willy_gert! Our goal was April 1st, so it was faster than we originally planned, but once we were committed, I wanted to get it on as soon as possible.

Good luck to you guys! Getting the house ready can be really time consuming, but now is a good time of year to get it on the market (or so I'm told!!)

I'm a bit late to the game. I hope all who were sick including LO's are feeling much better! GL @Willy_gert you'll rock it today!

Friday was my birthday so we went to dinner and had cake back at our house. DH got me some diamond earrings! I was so excited and my colleagues were too sweet.

Saturday we went to get prices on windows for the house. DH went and bought a new water heater and then we watched Frozen while chowing down pizza.

Sunday DS slept until 11:45am. I couldn't believe it and made sure 2x he was still breathing. He was exhausted! No nap yesterday because of getting up so late. We headed to Menards to get a few things. Ordered a new door and then went to my Grandma's house to start cleaning out the house.

It was a pretty good weekend and actually went by at the right speed instead of too quick for a change but I still want the weather to warm up. -7* on March 24, isn't right!

MIL came to visit for DH's birthday. It was a great weekend. Only bad thing was that both the boys woke up in the middle of the night on Saturday and ended up in our bed because we didn't want to CIO with a guest. We have a king but it still really sucked.
