crazy dry skin: from nursing or this awful winter?!

I never had this problem in 35 yrs ! am actually an oily skin type-- have been nursing for 5 wks now-- drinking lots of water although could prob drink even more... anyone else notice this? just curious :(:(

    My hands have been so dry that it sometimes looks like I have a rash all over the back of them. I blame it on the weather though (and the fact that our humidifier broke and we didn't know it).

    in my experience, nursing does make your skin dry. it has gotten better for me as DS has gotten older and nurses less. like you said, drink lots. i also made/make a habit of slathering lotion on every day after showering.
