Yesterday, I was at my normal coffee shop. LO was just out of my reach and knocked a mug which broke on the floor. The staff cleaned it up and didn't say anything. However, I am feeling slightly guilty for not paying for it but on the other hand I feel like it is the 50 cent write-off for doing business. Should I go back and offer to pay or let it go. I am a VERY regular customer at this store and am friendly with all the staff. I was trying to teach my little ones about being in a store in what I thought was a controlled environment (I have triplets) but maybe I was a little out numbered. Lol. Thanks.
Re: broken mug in a store
That said, I don't know that I'd go back *just* to pay for the broken mug, but if you are as regular a customer as you say, I would ask to pay for it next time you place your regular order with them. I'm sure they would appreciate the offer, and even if they decline it (which it seems like they might) you'll have a clear conscience either way.
