Why does Target do this to me!?

Every Sunday I look through the Target ad and of course now I actually have a need to look at the baby section. Well this week a crib that is on our list of likes that is normally $249 is on sale for $185 plus there is a $20 off coupon right in the ad. I'm not ready for a crib but by the time you add in the $20 off and the 5% from my Target Red Card it's almost $100 off. Seems dumb not to buy it, right?

That's all... nothing important! I just feel like all the time there is a sale forcing me to buy things before I'm ready... darn you Target!

Any chance someone will buy it for you if you register there? If so, let someone else buy it for you. We've bought nothing yet because I know lots of family and friends will be happy to help,

My FIL offered to buy our crib so I guess it's getting him the good deal. We've bought a few things. I know friends and family will buy gifts but I don't expect anyone to buy us a crib or a dresser or any of the higher priced items.

With our first, we watched for sales for the big stuff like her crib, and it probably saved us between $500 and $1,000 by doing it that way ($100 off the crib, the free infant car seat with the stroller we love, Black Friday baby monitor special, etc.). There was still plenty on our registry too, though mostly in the $100 and under territory.

Edit: our registry was largely $20 and under... Didn't want anyone to think I just put a bunch of $100 items on there.

I was thinking the same thing with the Ergo deal...seems too good to pass up...$20 off and a $20 gc. Gotta love Target!

I got my crib for DS at target with one of their weekly deals a few years ago. I also purchased all the big ticket items myself. I wouldn't expect anyone to buy me the expensive stuff off my registry. I got alot of my items on clearance or specials and I saved a lot of money doing that.

Hardly anyone bought stuff we needed off our registry. We got a lot of clothes and small things. I say buy it while it's on a great sale. You are probably going to have to guy it anyway.

Is there a code to use the $20 off online? We don't get the paper, and retailmenot is not helping. I have the mobile coupon in my Passbook, but I was just trying to save the trip to target.

If you look on Target's website, you can view the ad, and I don't see anything about using it online. There is a number you can text (827438) to get the coupon on your phone, but I don't think there is any way you can save a trip to the store.

I would go ahead and buy the crib now. I am buying a PnP on this sale because it's a great deal and I don't want to count on anyone buying it for us. We bought our crib for #1 really early (like 9 or 10 weeks) because we got an incredible deal on it. Most of our shower gifts were in the $20-50 range.

do it or you'll regret it!! Last week they had $100 off cribs with a coupon code (i couldnt find the code) but if i were actually ready to buy the crib itself I would have found it! I regret not buying the crib i wanted for $100 less than normal price!

Thanks, I had the mobile coupon but there was no coupon code on it to use online.

Went into Target and the finish I want for the crib is only available online. I asked guest services who called their guest relations line who said there should be an identical coupon for use online later this week and to call on Wednesday if I don't see anything by then.

The coupon is for instore only.

I felt silly too but I did go buy it! It's a very nice crib and I ordered the changing table online with only a $5 off coupon but it was also on sale too. Going to go back this week to get the dresser since I have another $20 off coupon. I didn't realize when I was in the store you could get a mobile copy or that the cashier would give it back to me but if I did I would've had my DH just buy that in a seperate transaction.

I just bought the crib. It was a good deal and I just looked at this one yesterday anyway!! I couldn't get the $20 gift card on $100 spent code to work online, so I'm just going to hassle the store when I go pick it up.

@TBarker925 - it was an instore only coupon and it wasn't a gift card it was just $20 off. It is a great deal! Almost $100 off with the sale they have and the additional $20!

The lady at the store was so nice. I showed her the mobile coupon and in the fine print it said 'can be used at Target.com with valid promo code'. She took 10% off and I had an additional $5 coupon. I walked away with this crib for $172.80 after tax. Very happy with this!

I know! I saw the same ad. And DH and I still have a $100 gift card from our wedding for Target, so I'm thinking we may need to jump on this - ready or not!

That's a good deal! DH and I saw the ad and coupon this weekend too. We are planning on using it towards wipes and dipes since you can never have enough!

Thanks for sharing! I was able to get an Ergo today at no cost to me between the coupon and gift cards! I plan on going back tomorrow and picking up a baby monitor!
