3rd Trimester

Lower abdominal pain?

I'm 33 weeks and my baby is always extreeeemly active. For the past 2 hours I've been having constant lower abdominal cramping. Everyone I have asked has said it's Braxton hicks but I always thought if I was having contractions my stomach would tighten and then loosen up and the pain would come and go. The cramping is always there but seems to get worse and lighten up, but is always present. I can still feel her moving around so I'm not sure whether or not to be worried... Drinking water, warm bath, laying down or changing positions doesn't seem to help.
any advice?

  • BH should come and go and not last a long time. I would call your doctor.

  • I'm 29 weeks and have been dealing with this to turns out mine is from a UTI I would get checked.
  • A few weeks ago I was having what felt like bad period cramps. I was 28-29 weeks at the time. They were low and at times would come and go; at times they were consistent. I called my MD and they had me come in. They checked me for a uti and also did a vaginal exam to make sure I wasn't effaced or dilated. They had me go for an ultrasound that afternoon too. Thankfully everything was okay- they told me it was just normal growing pains and the ligaments stretching

I think it's best to get it checked. At least call. It will give you piece of mind and make sure everything is ok

    Hope you feel better!
