Accomplished meal planning for the week & grocery shipping within the budget. I never even used to pay attention to prices at the grocery store, but it's a whole new ball game now. I was amazed how much some of the stuff we buy in the regular costs! Or, appalled is probably a better word. $6.99 for a gallon of organic milk, gtfo!
Successfully had LO's baptism and hosted a brunch at our home. Afterward, I was able to nap for one of the first times since LO was born. Might have been the best nap ever!!
We had an open house today and I'm hoping we get some offers! Also made it down to Orange County to see my bestie and her babe. She is 6 mos and her and baby D were all over each other. So cute.
Bought some new summer clothes. I'n close to pp weight (another 8 pounds left to lose), but clothes fit different on my post baby body; so my victory is that I like my new clothes and feel confident in them.
We successfully transitioned LO out of the sleep suit. We woke up thursday morning and he had unzipped it. So Thursday night no suit. It was rough but we survived and last night he slept great.
LO started swim class and loved it! She even did her first underwater dunk already and came up laughing. I got work to extend my work from home deal until the end of September, so that's a relief. I have 6 months to figure out my next move. Oh, and we booked a wedding DJ! That was the last vendor we needed so I feel like some of the pressure is off.
1) I was able to make baby food for the week. (Explanation: I was making big batches, and then we let off solids for a bit, and most of the food went bad, since then I've only been making small batches here and there. Also, LO hates the sound of the blender, so..that's fun.)
2) We booked our B&B for our Anniversary next weekend!
3) Stayed under budget while grocery shopping, so I was able to buy a couple snack-y items.
4) Successfully got LO to eat peas! Woo! That's 2 veggies she'll eat without a fuss!
SO got his first paycheck in 86578687351 months. It's gone, but a couple of bills are paid for a bit.
We got the carpet steam cleaned and I am so happy I did it! I feel so much better about my house!
Baby-proofed our middle bedroom. DD just loves playing in there and she lets me know oh so sweetly when she's done with her "alone time"
we went out to dinner for a sort of "reunion" for the village my family is from in China. LO was good and he didn't cry one bit for the 3 hours we were there, even with all the singing, commotion and noise. He did get sleepy at 8pm which is when his usual bedtime was, so I gave him a bottle and he dozed off. I thought he would be asleep for a while, but he woke up like a half hour later. He didn't cry though, he sort of just laid there against me. When we got home around 10:30, I put him in the crib and he was out until 6am.
I also made some food that he loves. If you haven't tried acorn squash yet, I recommend it. I cubed one acorn squash and one ripe pear, steamed it, then blended it with some of the reserved liquid. He loves it!

Also started the army crawl and is everywhere! Lots of fun haha
I tried a new recipe, pizza pasta casserole and it was delicious
