Bringing baby home today....ultimate SGR!

We are bringing out beautiful daughter Hailey home today.....holy crap am I freaked/scared! The nurses and docs do NOT have to worry about me going to the bathroom anymore because I have been up with "nervous cramps" all night (TMI?)!!!

This is the first night we will be "on our own" with her and I'm totally bugging. I know we will make it but still totally overwhelmed :)

Thanks for listening, any advice is always welcome but just really needed to vent that out!

Re: Bringing baby home today....ultimate SGR!

  • No advice as I am still waiting for my baby to want to come out. But you will do great! best wishes and enjoy the first night... There will never be another day like today!
  • I was nervous our first night home, too. My milk hadn't really come in yet so I'm pretty sure she wasn't getting much food, which led to her waking quite a bit to try and feed. I was tired but it was ok though. They honestly don't need much from you besides a place to sleep, food and clothing. You've got this!

  • With my first baby , DH and I got home and looked at each other like now what because baby just wanted to sleep. SGR but it wasn't the craziness we expected. Congrats!!! And you can do it!

  • You can do it!  After you guys get into a routine you'll feel more comfortable nodding off without staring all night to make sure she's breathing lol.
