No but I do I prefer the left so I can still eat, text, whatever with my right. So I have to constantly remind myself, especially in public to put her on the right
Yup. DD1 always preferred my right, and I nursed her until 21 months...so she named the right one "big boobie." I know it produced more. DD2 also prefers the right. She does even more so than DD1 did, and it worries me because I am afraid of my supply dropping on the left side.
ive been pumping the right side.. and sometimes i even pump while feeding him.. do u think my supply will stay the same on that side even tho im just pumping???
If your LO (or you) prefer the left side, then the left side will produce more and the right will produce less. There will be no net gain or loss of milk production. And there's certainly no need to make yourself go crazy in an effort to feed from the less convenient side.
DS prefers the left, as it produces more. I have just always tried my best to give breasts equal time. Now that he is 14 months and nursing less, I've noticed that he will nurse from both sides instead of just one for a session. However, there are now times that he just refuses the right.
