We've only tried rice, squash and peas. Rice was a total flop, squash was okay and although peas looked promising he ended up spitting all of them out after the 4th bite. Guess we just need to keep at it!
She's seemed pretty happy with everything so far, with the exception of peas. We mixed the peas with a little sweet potato though (we had already tried sweet potato so we knew it wasn't an allergy risk) and she gobbled them right up.
Last week I peeled a sweet potato and sliced it into big round discs and roasted them until very soft. Then I froze them. Last night when DD was having teething pain I pulled one out and let her gnaw on it still frozen. She loved it! Definitely her favorite thing so far.
Oatmeal for sure. He loves it. Now he doesn't let me eat my oatmeal for breakfast either- it's like he recognizes what it is and grunts and stares til I make him his!
LO has tried solids in the form of sweet potatoes the last two days and while she seems interested in grabbing them and putting them in her mouth, her face expression looks less than thrilled with the taste.
I haven't decided what she will try next but I do have avacado, carrots and green beans in the refrigerator so it will probably be one of those.

He loves anything with bananas, but he's also pretty into avocados.
I think he's ready for more flavorful stuff because he ate a whole pouch of Plum Organics 2nd foods twice now. One was Pumpkin Dates Oats & Chia (tasted like pumpkin pie, yum) and I think the other one was Zucchini Banana Amaranth. He's kinda bored by cereal now, even mixed with fruit/veg.
LO has hated every single thing I've given her. So far we've tried oatmeal, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, blueberries, bananas, and apples. She hates ALL of it. Just wants breast milk.
We've tried oatmeal, pears and peas so far. Oatmeal went over well, but pears are the definite winner. He yells at me every time the bowl is empty. Peas did not go so well, he took a couple bites and looked at me like I was poisoning him. Oh well, we'll try again.
I've only tried her with rice cereal, and in form of purée carrots and sweet potatoes and she definitely favors carrots. I handed her a banana actually as her first food BLW style and she enjoyed gnawing on it but when she would get a good taste she kept gagging.

I wish I would have thought to do this. LO loves sweet potatoes and hates peas. I wasted the peas.
I'm working hard on getting him to take formula right now.
LO loves oatmeal and barley. He ALS lives cantaloupe, pear and banana. But it's funny because every ingle time we give him the first bite of food, you would think we're feeding him lemons given his facial expression. He ends up liking most things but the first expression is priceless. Even with oatmeal! He doesn't love avocado, green beans or squash though.
My LO loves avocado. It was her first food and definitely her favorite so far out of the few things we've tried. I give it a slight mash or chop, then put it in the munchkin silicone feeder. We're waiting until she can sit on her own before doing BLW.
My LO has loved everything so far except mango and avocado. He actually started spitting the avocado at me when I was tryingto feed it to him. Im going to try mixing it with banana to see if he will like it then.

Brody was born on September 23, 2013 at 6.33am weighing 8lb 14oz.
I voted squash, but butternut squash specifically. So far she has liked everything: butternut squash, eggplant, carrots, sweet potatoes, and bananas. Not sure if the eggplant agrees with her though.
@Adrd47 we roasted it, peeled it, removed the seeds, and then puréed. The seeds were hard to remove, so some ended up in her food, but it didn't bother her.
A likes everything we've given her so far, except peas and green beans. Sweet potatoes and apples are her favorite. We've tried out most of Gerber stage 1 foods
I've given Emily everything as BLW except for squash that she had yesterday. I had a coupon so picked up a couple of things: squash and pears. The cucumber is really easy for her to eat as a chunky spear. Banana and blackberries I gave to her in the silicone mesh teether. She really loves bananas. We're doing a mix of feeding styles - whatever works best for us at the time and for that food.
I tried the mesh feeder today with pear - I had high hopes, apparently gerber pears taste far better than the organic pears we bought! Maybe she will do better with Avocado.
