DS2 is 9 weeks old and whenever I put him in the mei tai to get stuff done or play with DS1, he freaks out unless I nurse him immediately. Even if I have just fed him. Once I nurse him even just for a minute, he will settle in just fine and fall asleep usually. But then if I try to untie and raise him up to a safe and more comfortable level on my chest, he wakes up and freaks out again. Has anyone gone through this? Any tips? DS1 didn't really like to be worn but now I need to wear DS2 out of necessity. Does it get better as LO gets older? I feel like it's kind of like teasing him having him lie on my chest and be so close to my breasts but not have access to them. I don't like having my boob out and wearing him at breast level constantly. He can't seem to be calm and awake in the carrier, he will only be nursing or asleep.

I second the pacifier suggestion. LO has only taken one a few times and each time has been while getting used to being worn.
