Effexor vs Celexa?

I am new to the board and just found out we are expecting last Tuesday! This will be our 2nd child and I am 5 weeks today I am pumped! I do however have an interesting question in regards to the antidepressant/anti-anxiety med I take on a regular basis: I have been on Effexor for about 6 months now (I switch from Celexa which I was on for years to see if it helped with one of the symptoms I had on Celexa). Since I have been on Effexor it works well and I don't feel much different and it works just fine. However, I have read up a bit on Effexor and know that it can cause issues in the third trimester and also can be really difficult to get off of. I do know also that any of these types of medications can cause issues - I was on Celexa with my first pregnancy and everything went fine however he did come 7 weeks early but they were unsure of the cause. They wanted me to stay on the Celexa as they felt the benefits outweighed the risks. I have asked my doctor about staying on the Effexor vs getting off of it and I have the same answer - they'd rather have me stay on throughout the whole pregnancy to be safe but I am still very nervous of course!

Anyone have a similar experience? Not sure if maybe I should switch back to Celexa or just stay with the Effexor? Or not worry at all? lol, thank you all and good luck in this trimester!
