BTDT moms.... Maybe tmi....

Kind of gross, but has anyone ever gotten a plantars wart frozen off while pregnant? I have one on my foot and am planning on getting it frozen off on Tuesday. I want it gone! Just wanted to check if it went ok and what kind of advice
Your doctor gave. Thank you!

  • I have one too. My OB told me to crush up aspirin and put it on a piece of duct tape over it for 6 days.

  • I think this is a question for your doctor. That would have my first question when I med the appointment.

  • Thank you all! My doctor said she didn't "think" it would be an issue and she couldn't see a reason why it would be..... So I was just seeking a little more advice. I'm a ftm so I feel a little nervous about it, but the wart is becoming more irritating each day.

    Why is this TMI?
Also, I'm pretty sure I pulled out a plantar's wart a few weeks ago. I've heard of the aspirin and suffocate with tape trick too.
ETA: I'm not understanding why freezing a wart off would be a problem.

  • These are SUCH a pain!! I had one frozen off, but it came back. The only thing I got to help was apple cider vinegar and duct tape. Then digging it out >.<. I also got it while pregnant with my first. It took me almost 2 years to finally get rid of it -.-

  • It's completely safe. It's just liquid nitrogen. No more dangerous to the baby than if you burned your finger on an ice cube.

  • I'd just think it'd hurt a bit more than normal, but I've had a thyroid biopsy with injected pain killer with no concerns from either the endocrinologist or the midwife.
