Embarassing/kinda gross question

So I've read about a lot of ladies on here talking about spotting. I'm wondering if I'm being paranoid from reading about it, or if I'm possibly spotting. How obvious is it?

I check the tp every time I go to the bathroom and it's always been clean, but I just got home from the gym and I had on a white cotton thong. Obviously I was sweaty/some CM on there, but I noticed some brownish color.
I honestly don't know if that was there before or is new. So my question is-would it be obvious on tp?

    The times that I spotted, I only ever noticed it on the toilet paper.

    @jamieK1882- You're not the only one looking at your TP! This is my first pregnancy, so other than what I've been reading, I have no idea what is normal. I've been having some light cramping, so the first thing I do when I sit on the toilet is check my undies! I know its totally normal, but I can't help it!

    when I have had spotting, it is usually just from wiping. on occaision, it appeared on my undies, but in that case it was always also seen when I wiped.

    When I have had spotting it has been light brown and just when I wiped. As long as it is brown in color and light spotting it is usually nothing to worry about :)
