10 months old tomorrow... still not crawling!! And she will hardly roll unless prompted. All of her other development is on track. She gets on all 4's and kind f rocks back and forth but that is it. Anyone else out there like this?
Emmett wasnt able to get on all fours or anything until about 2 days before he turned 10 months. Then, 2 days later, on the 10 month birthday he started crawling. I couldn't believe how quickly he went from nothing to crawling.
Also, at his last pedi appt a couple of weeks ago, the pedi wasn't concerned that he wasn't crawling. She said that as long as he was meeting other milestones that he was perfectly fine!
The pedi I went to with DS1 told me crawling isn't even considered a real milestone. As long as they are trying to get around in some way or attempting to move, he wasn't concerned. This was the conversation I had with him at DS1s 9 month appt. he ended up crawling around 10 months.
I should add that DS can't get into a sitting position from lying down, doesn't really put weight on his legs let alone pull up, and just recently started rolling. So he seems generally behind on gross motor.

I think last month someone posted about crawling and I mentioned knee pads. I truly believe DS wouldn't be crawling as well as he does now w/o starting him with knee pads. at 9 months he would get up on all 4's and rock but then he would roll over and just lay there I put the knee pads on him twice and he started crawling everywhere. I have carpeted floors too so I am not sure why this helped him but it did.....just some info if you ladies want to give it a try.
Not crawling here. He does roll everywhere and slide in his belly back words and pivots in a circle. He gets up on fours occasionally but it never lasts long. Just yesterday he started doing a downward facing dog type position but he gets stuck and starts fussing.
This exactly! B also scoots on his butt. He gets into a crawling position, except one of his legs always gets stuck and he hasn't figured out how to move it out of the way. The backward crawling started recently, so I know it's just a matter of time.

She loves to stand and walk with assistance. I think she'll end up walking in a few months and skip crawling. I'm not worried.
