Whats the longest stretch for u at night? DS is 7 weeks and the longest he has gone is 4 hours at night. He is usually up every 2.5-3.5. Just wanted to see where we stand compared to others. Im one tired momma!
(Lurking here...) DD didn't give me three hour stretches until she was over 4mo, at least. I don't think I got more than four hours in a row until more like 18months. At nearly 4years, she still doesn't STTN.
My 3.5 year old doesn't STTN... I don't expect my wee baby too, nor would I want her too. She's 6 weeks and gets a 3 hour stretch in the mornings, but about 2 hours through the night.
I also have a 7 wk old, he has given us a couple 4 hr stretches, but mostly is at 2-3 hr stretches, whether eating 1-2 oz or 4-5, it's till 2-3 hrs lol. I guess he's just set on that ...
First Jelly Bean EDD Jan 26 2014 - 1 day before MY birthday!
My almost 5 week old slept for a little over 6 hrs the other night. I was amazed and grateful for the 6 hrs of uninterrupted sleep but I def don't expect it to be the norm. Typically she does 2.5 to 3 hrs stretches at night.
My DS is 5 wks sleeps anywhere from 2-4 hrs between each feeding.. Lol I'm very tired these days and my 3.5 ds has been sleeping thru the night since 5 months old. He goes down at 7:30-8 til 7am ....

My DS started STTN around 8 weeks. He quit doing that around 13 weeks and hasn't STTN since. Just because they start sleeping in long stretches is no guarantee that will continue.
At 13 weeks he had a GS and woke up for one MOTN feeding. Then he got a cold, we had to quit swaddling, we were in the throes of the 4 MW, and he got another cold. He's also having a hard time with teething.
For awhile there he was sleeping from about 8:30 - 1 am, then getting up every 40 minutes to an hour until 6 am.
He's 20 weeks now and we're back to one or two MOTN wake-ups.
2weeks and he get's about 3-5 hours. But the last couple of nights it's been 2 1/2 hours. And during the 2 hours. he use to sleep much longer but now he just doesn't want to sleep. His routine is the same and feeding as well, even burp him and check his diaper way to much lol but nothing seems to work oh well we'll figure it out somehow lol

BFP - October 2015

Five hours is actually considered sttn for an infant. We have experienced it twice in three months. He usually sleeps in two three hour segments then wakes frequently.

That sounds like the good side of normal for anyone on this board. The majority of babies don't do a six-hour stretch regularly until four months. DS2 slept five straight hours last night for the first time, and he'll be two months tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a one-time thing, though, because he's typically been doing 3.5-4 hours first thing.
