If you don't check-in for 4 weeks you'll be removed from the list but we'll happily add you back next time you check in!

@manada and @healz413 - so sorry you fell of the check-in! I got cut'n'paste happy.

AFM, this is a XP from an AW post on my LGBT board on Friday (PAIF):

Friday we went for our 17w anatomy scan and it was great news all around! She is measuring perfect, or ahead, on everything. No markers for heart or renal issues, and head circumference is spot-on! Trisomy X girls can have renal issues (10%); slightly smaller head circumference, and heart issues can occur in 1%. So - while it's early, we are still happy there are no red flags! HB was 142 and she was moving around a lot!

We met with a super awesome doctor (we're in a group practice, different doctor every time - we've loved all but one, and that one we still liked - I love the different perspectives and personalities). He took a lot of time explaining our u/s outcome, talking about my thyroid and answering questions. He also said "not to minimize, but with Trisomy X the fact that 90% of girls/women with it go undiagnosed is a very reassuring statistic." He also was glad we were meeting with the medical geneticist at Children's and even name dropped the exact doctor we are meeting with as stellar! YAY.

I'm (I think) really starting to believe she's going to be a real baby someday! I'm still working on my letter to our donor but hope to have that sent out before the end of the month. I have a work trip + unexpected family trip next week (my dad needs bypass surgery) - then we go to Hawaii a month from today! Then, no more travel - just gettin' ready for baby time at home.

Our full a/s is on 4/4 at 20w2d; and our fetal echo is the following Tuesday on 4/8. Then I hope to become boring!

QOTW: Peach pie! However, though I don't eat pie very often, I will eat most any fruit pie - along with pecan and key lime. I'm not much for cream pies, except maybe banana pudding pie in the South.

AFM: We still don't have any for sure dates yet for transfer as still looking at Ls sis & if she will work out she was a bit of a lagger on getting her stuff done. But really hope weake it for a may transfer!!

Q: I love pecan pie & pumpkin pie our my favorites but I do love fruit pie with some ice cream too:-)

QOTW: I have to eat gluten free, so my pie options are limited. Apple used to be my favorite and GF bisquick has a pretty good GF apple pie recipe.

*****Pregnancy/loss mentioned******

We have our first u/s on Wednesday at 6w5d. This is where things went south for our most recent loss, so we are both anxious.

I am hoping my dh can be in the room, but it will be t/v u/s and our GC is a co-worker of mh so we will defer to her if she is uncomfortable with him being in the room.

Other than that, we feel like no news is good news from our GC at this stage and we are trying to take it day by day.

Not much going on. I know I sound like a broken record but I'm so scared and nervous about all of this. My mind can't seem to rest. I can't wait to finally have this cycle take place.

****AFM, here is my PAIF UPDATE*****

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for a while. I guess PGAL brain has me freaked out a bit and I was nervous to post about reaching certain milestones. I know some of you, unfortunately, can relate.

Well, I’m currently 10 weeks/3 days with 1 bean and an EDD of 10/10/14! So far, we had a great 6 week and 8 week ultrasound and my RE is currently weaning me off of PIO. I’m anxiously awaiting my 12 week scan and also waiting to hear if my insurance will cover one of the non-invasive genetic tests to check for Trisomies, etc. If they do, I would be going before my 12 week appointment, so another chance to see this little one, which I’m hoping for!

QOTW: I would say Apple pie and Key Lime pie are my favorites.

PAIF UPDATE:

AFM - I'm almost half baked at 19w4d. We have our a/s on Thursday and have been super excited/dreading it since about 15w. I can't wait to see Sammy on high def imaging, but at the same time I'm nervous to get bad news. I'm always subconciously waiting for the other shoe to drop even though I know statistically, things look good. Ah, what I would give to be blissfully ignorant. Alas.

QOTW: Silly me didn't even realize it was pie day. That's pretty much a sin, right? I want a do-over! My favorite pie is either pecan (not made with karo syrup) or Caramel Apple pie. Here are links to recipes. Trust me, they are THE BEST!

First IUI on 3/01 was a BFN, it ended up being a chemical pregnancy. So on to round 2, first US scheduled for 3/18. If everything goes smooth second IUI will be around the end of March.

Favorite pie is Lemon Meringue.

Check In: My IUI finished at the end of last week, and now I'm just waiting to do my pregnancy tests.

QOTW: The only pie I like is my Aunt Selma's black cherry pie, and even then, its actually a crumble. I hate the crust on pies, they are disgusting IMHO. But more importantly, its Shakespeare week this week, so I'm off to the Theatre to see Much Ado About nothing with some friends tomorrow.

Hi ladies! I have a really quick update and I gotta run. We are officially in Florida as of 3 am this morning. My transfer is scheduled for 1:15 tomorrow!!!! I can't figure out if I'm more nervous or excited but I am definitely starting to feel it now. It's still a little surreal for me but we are so happy. Tomorrow I will be PUPO!!!!

We have almost made it half way. This week I hit 20 weeks and have anatomy scan on Thursday. I am excited and nervous all rolled into one.

Not much to update today. I paid our deposit this morning so our snowflakes are officially ours. I am still waiting to hear from the psychologist so that we can schedule our psych consult. I am going to be out of the country on business most of this week, so it's not a huge deal right now. If I haven't heard from her by next Tuesday when I get back I am going to give her a call. Once our eval is done, we will be ready to cycle. We should hopefully be looking at a transfer around May 1st.

QOTW: I think most pies. Pumpkin or cherry is my favorite.

AFM: I will post an update regarding our WTF. The cliff notes are that our WTF didn't offer me any clarity. Our RE thinks we have MFI on top of DH's BT. DH and I will not be cycling for at least 6 months. When we do we will try 4 or 5 IUIs with DS. Our RE thinks because I'm young we can achieve pregnancy with my eggs and DS. She feels age is a better indicator for women with DOR to achieve pregnancy than ovarian reserve. Before we move forward I will have a lap, to rule out endometriosis, in addition to an RPL panel. I'm also considering a consult with a RI, Dr. KK. At this point we are just looking for some definitive answers to why we can't get/stay pregnant.

QOTW: Apple pie is my favorite. I am not a cook, so I do not have a favorite recipes. I do enjoy eating it

I'm on my phone so can't scroll back far for personals. I had a St. Paddie's Day transfer yesterday of my last 2 clovers which both survived the thaw. My first FET ever, lol. They are early day 6 blasts so I'm not too hopeful. But we'll see what happens... I'm going to try not to POAS as the last two were beta hell. No thanks!

This is a very exciting time on the board! So many transfers and things moving forward and positive tests/betas. I'm really happy for everyone for whom good things are happening.

PAIF response:

We are 7w6d with twins. We saw the embryos and heartbeats again last week at 7w1d and things looked good. Our next ultrasound is scheduled for a week from Thursday, but we may go in early because we're allowed to and because @Manada needs a refill on most of her meds, so we have to go in for that any way.

Things are going well for us. M is really tired all the time but she's keeping nausea at bay by eating every couple of hours and taking diclectin.

Our midwife is going to make a referral to the Newman breastfeeding clinic for us so that I can start working to induce lactation. We were going to start at the end of the first trimester, but with twins I want to be ready if they come early. There are a few other folks on the LGBTParenting board who have induced lactation or are planning to induce lactation, so we're going to start an induced lactation check-in. I will post over here when that goes up (Thursday, I think) because we'd love to have folks from other boards participate as well.

QOTW: I want pie. Mmmm. I love lots of kinds but my faves are banana cream pie and strawberry rhubarb.

Hi everyone! I love reading all your updates and want to say yay! To all the good updates and give hugs to all who are struggling.

I don't have much to report as we aren't trying our at home insemination until next cycle BUT I've been taking cheapie opks just to make sure everything seems to be working and I got a positive today! Yay ! I texted a pic to one of my IF, he probably never thought he'd get a text like that from a woman. I can't wait to text them a pic of a BFP!

QOTW: pie, ummmm, pie (drooling). I love peach pie and toll house pie!! My sister makes amazing pies with homemade crust. I do not.
