Right?! Not an honor I'm hoping to receive! Just wanted to say this is a great idea! And I was thinking we should also have a contest for the most dramatic water breaking story. So many of us were (are) worried about how it might go it would be fun to see what actually happened!

I know my little man wasn't the biggest but he was 9 lb, 1 oz at 15 days early. Just had to share because I shudder at what he would have weighed if he hasn't come until his due date or later!

ETA: Fixed spelling mistake. I can't function on no sleep without coffee!

Big babies make me squeeeeeee. They come out extra squishy and I love it! (That being said, I really hope Meredith does not take that as permission to come out of me at 10lbs. Kthanks).

Tyler came into this world on Monday weighing 10 lbs. 10 oz and 21 inches long. Needless to say he doesn't fit into any of his newborn outfits or diapers.

I got asked that a lot after DD was 10lbs, 1oz at 39wks. DS was 9lbs, 10oz at 39+2. No GD and no family history of big babies, we just make them big, I guess. DD is 18mo and still 99th percentile for height and weight.

DD was the first big baby in our family, and I did not have GD. DH and I were both under 8 lbs, as were our siblings and parents. So weird how it worked out.

And to the GD question- I did not have it with either of my boys. Ds1 was 10 lb 3 oz and ds2 was (obviously) 11 5. I just have big babies I guess.

I totally agree! DS was 9lbs 8oz at 17 days early! At 5 weeks he was 14lbs 9oz. He was just destined to be a big boy!

I would totally be interested in comparing head circumference too. Both of my kids have had 14.5" heads.

ETA: I had GD with DD and she was 8lbs 9oz at 40+4. I was tested 3 times with DS so I feel pretty certain I didn't have it this time.

Not a record, but my Matthew is a big baby also. 9lbs 9oz and 22 inches, induced at 39 weeks. Big ol head, too - 15in.

No GD, passed the 1 hour. First big baby in the family. I was under 6 and H was under 7. I measured ahead from my a/s - anywhere from 2-4 weeks at any ultrasound or fundal height measurement.

Big baby mamas: Do people keep insisting that your due date was wrong? If I had a dollar for every time someone said "I think they had your dates wrong" I would be able to have a nice pedicure or something.

I don't really want to divulge the details of my sex life to these random people. My LMP was June 1st and I got a BFP on the 28th. Not a lot of wiggle room there.

My girl was born at 39 weeks 3 days. I had GD but monitored my blood sugar and it was never over 130 1 hr after a meal.

My husband was 9 lbs at birth, my mw said that could come into play.

@megmo10 The only person I've heard that from was the a/s tech. My LMP gave me the 18th, charting gave me the 24th and the dating scan gave me the 26th. I know when I ovulated so I know the 18th wasn't right. She was like "are you sure?" Yes I am. She even asked "do you have diabetes?!" Lady, just do the scan. The doctor wasn't concerned at that point. It only became an issue when he was trending to 10lbs and the OB wanted to offer a scheduled section (that I declined).

No one has said anything to me but it was expected that I was having a big baby. They just didn't expect THAT big.
