For those of you who make baby pasta

What do you put on pasta when you make it for LO? Seems like marinara might be too harsh (heartburn maybe? ) but plain might be hard to swallow. What do you do?

Re: For those of you who make baby pasta

  • Also macaroni and cheese is a good option.

  • We have done a little bit of a homemade spaghetti sauce and he loved it. Just a really little bit for flavor.
  • We sometimes put a tiny bit of homemade tomato sauce and she loves it. Her new favorite is my take on mac and cheese. I put just a tiny bit of butter on the pasta and shredded cheddar cheese. She devours it !

  • We do marinara, but just enough to put a light coat on it so the pasta isn't sticky. I've also given him my homemade mac & cheese.

  • We do spaghetti with store bought sauce , hamburger and sausage. I cut it into a rice like substance and she loves it. One of her favorites I think:)

  • I've been wondering the same thing! I was thinking I would maybe just sprinkle some parmesan the first time and then add some sauce next time.

  • My kid eats marinara all the time. It has never bothered her. I also make homemade mac and cheese for her, which she loves.

  • I used to make my own, then I just started giving him whatever we were having. Marinara with spinach, with ground meat, and last night it was 4 Cheese Rosa. Just enough to coat the noodles thinly. I also do noodles with shredded cheese and he loves that too. I but the veggie noodles (rotini) and cut them in half.
  • I do hamburger and make a low sodium spaghetti sauce with added veggies (carrots and spinach). I puree the sauce down and freeze into cubes. When H and I have pasta for dinner (once a week) I make extra noodles to chop in the food processor (to the size of rice grains). She loves it.
  • @NailQueen ... I'm slightly confused about the ketchup, Why do you put ketchup on his chicken?
