Amazon Mom

Has anyone tried/used/plans on using this?

I only recently heard about this. Would it be worth it if we are already Amazone Prime members? looks like it would be nice to save on diapers and have certain items conveniently delivered to the house on a regular basis for awhile. ^_^

  • This used to be a good deal. You don't get prime benefits anymore with it like you used too.

I know you already have prime and I believe it is free to sign up for mom so I would think the discount would be ok.

I personally didn't find we saved that much when I did it.

  • Thanks for the input ^_^ I agree Prime in itself is an amazing deal. We use it constantly. It was great for holiday shopping, also.

Also, if it is free to sign up for Mom with Prime, it might be worth it, I wonder how often I would use it. Perhaps I should find out how often I end up buying consistent items like diapers first? I'm a FTM so not sure what to expect :)

  • I have found that Amazon Prime is amazing! I have saved A LOT of money through them because of shipping and movies that are available to stream online. Amazon Mom is a great perk.

  • It's free. So yes, it's worth it.

  • You automatically get 20% on certain items for S&S, which for me is helpful.  I get our pull-ups for my older daughter and wipes (we cloth diapered, but now with just needing one pull-up at night, sposies are soooo much easier!).  I also get organic cheddar bunnies, fruit leathers, and other things for kiddos like Hyland homeopathic products.  Most of all my commercial cleaning products (dishwasher tabs, 7th Gen wipes, etc.) are on S&S too.  I even get toothpaste from amazon!  It takes a while to get your schedule down, but for months I only need wipes it makes like easier that they are 20% with amazon mom.  It is totally worth it!  Also, you get a bigger registry completion discount if you are signed up!

  • I have used Amazon Mom since DD was a baby (she is almost 5) and it was first coming out. I would agree that it used to have much better deals. But I love the program still. I still find I save a decent amount of money and we live in a rural community to having everything shipped directly to my door is a bonus. I use my prime membership all of the time!

  • I am convinced, ladies! :D

This sounds like the majority feel it's a good deal, especially with us already having Prime. I think I will give this a go! Even the husband seemed interested in this ^_^

I haven't used it as I always find what I need at local stores for the same or better prices. Formula (Similac Sensitive) was really close to being a great price but I go to Costco and use the Similac checks so that's the best price. For diapers I buy target brand and those are always on sale and I use cartwheel. For wipes I either get target brand or wegmans brand depending on where I am.

I'm constantly checking the per unit cost of stuff so if Amazon Mom is cheaper I'd totally buy from them. Since I have Prime it was free to sign up, I just haven't had the need for it yet.
