Hello - I think the last I posted was when H and I moved to a new larger city for my new job...which actually brought us closer to the s-kids (5 minutes apart). I'd say we have made good progress over the last 2 years that we've been here. I really love my job and I'm working for a great company (this was not the case before and a real frustration). My H and I have certainly had our ups and downs since the move, but I'd say things are stronger than ever between us. We've found a great counselor here that we've gone to every now and again and we've def. learned some things about ourselves & each other through that.
As for the s-kids, I think I am slowly building a better relationship w/ the 2 of them. I've also initiated a few conversations/texts with BM. Those have gone well, and we're friendly w/ each other (we never spoke for the first 5 yrs or so). Recently, I've taken the kids out to dinner by myself, took them to get their mom a b-day present (and I paid for it), taken them to ball practice. So it's slowly becoming more "normal". We're going to take professional family photos for the first time soon - which I initiated though I'm a little nervous about it

One of the biggest challenges H and I have faced, and it has made my role as a s-mom even more difficult is infertility. We've tried for 5 yrs with no luck. It's been hard to accept that he has kids w/someone else but can't with me. I have a handful of reasons for not seeking fertility treatment right now (though we saw a specialist and had a plan - we were diagnosed as unexplained infertility)...so we've recently decided to adopt!
We're just getting the process started; and though I'm scared of how difficult it may be, I am so excited to finally feel like we are going to have a baby together. I hope everyone is doing well, and I will spend some time reading the posts to try and catch up.

Re: A long over-due update, if anyone remembers me :)
And so so glad to hear of the improved relationship between you and your skids! That is a major leap!
