My LO is 16 months and at her 12m appt her pediatrician told me to get rid of her bottles. She has been drinking water and juice from a sippy cup since 6 months without any issue. I have been trying for the last few weeks to transition her milk from the bottle to the sippy cup and she wants no part of it. She doesn't cry or seem to miss the milk and has maintained her routine. She eats really well and I think since she hasn't been taking the milk and is missing the fat that it provides she is more hungry than usual.
My husband is very concerned that she is not drinking milk or getting the calcium it provides. She loves cheese and yogurt but I realize it is not the same quantity. Does anyone have any other suggestions for getting her to drink milk?

I tend to agree with this. Our pedi said that some kids don't drink any milk and are perfectly fine, as long as they're getting the proper nutrients from other food sources.
