What do you put on pasta when you make it for LO? Seems like marinara might be too harsh (heartburn maybe? ) but plain might be hard to swallow. What do you do?
We sometimes put a tiny bit of homemade tomato sauce and she loves it. Her new favorite is my take on mac and cheese. I put just a tiny bit of butter on the pasta and shredded cheddar cheese. She devours it !
I used to make my own, then I just started giving him whatever we were having. Marinara with spinach, with ground meat, and last night it was 4 Cheese Rosa. Just enough to coat the noodles thinly. I also do noodles with shredded cheese and he loves that too. I but the veggie noodles (rotini) and cut them in half.
I do hamburger and make a low sodium spaghetti sauce with added veggies (carrots and spinach). I puree the sauce down and freeze into cubes. When H and I have pasta for dinner (once a week) I make extra noodles to chop in the food processor (to the size of rice grains). She loves it.
