weekend plans?

Good morning , happy Friday! What is everyone up to this weekend? I am planning on ordering pizza watching Netflix tonight, exciting trip to Babies R Us to return some duplicate shower items tomorrow and fill in some needs. Sunday we are going to try a new church we want to join take the baby to as she grows.

I have a day off, so it's a 3-day weekend for me. Today is my me day; probably my last one before I go on bed rest. I've got an MFM appointment in the morning, and I'm going to take myself out for lunch. I'm not sure what I'll do with the rest of my day; it'll depend on how I feel and when the contractions start kicking in hard. Maybe I'll take a nap.

Tomorrow, we're making all about DS1, since it'll be my last weekend to do something exciting with him for a while. We're going to the diner for breakfast (his favorite), and then we're going to go to the petting zoo so he can see the animals and ride a pony. Afterwards, we'll go get his hair cut and buy him new shoes (not his favorite things, but he needs them), but I told him if he's very nice during his hair cut we might even go for ice cream. It'll be a spoiling kind of special day.

Not sure what's on for Sunday yet; probably just resting after the business of Saturday.

MH has a trip planned so its just me and my son. I'm planning on going to bed as soon as he does tonight (glorious!) so at like 7 - I've been exhausted all week. My best friend is coming over tomorrow for dinner! So that'll be fun. Better find something good to make. Otherwise just working on the nursery here and there and resting.

Oh wait, I spent 13 years in school doing that shit. Nevermind, I'm good.

Instead, I think we might move into our house.

We're blitzing the house this weekend. With our bathroom reno going on and painting LO's room last weekend, the house has got into a bit of a mess. My dad is taking us out for breakfast tomorrow, then our friend is coming over to paint some murals on LO's walls. He's an artist, so it will be lovely for her to have some original pieces by him. He's going to do some small designs like little characters here and there. I'll post some pics when he's done.

Haircut! I cannot wait. Last one was at 14 weeks and it's ridiculous how much it has grown since then. I had super thick hair to begin with and it's only gotten bushier since it stopped falling out. And don't even get me started on how hideous my bangs are.

That will pretty much be the highlight.

My best friend is staying for the weekend. Tonight we are going to see my husband play a show and tomorrow we are going to give ourselves neon manicures. I also need to pick out a shower dress.

Baseball game in the morning for my son, laundry and cleaning the downstairs, I may wash some of the baby clothes I have so far, church, and hopefully take our Heeler to the dog park. Oh...and we also need to do yard work. Yuck.

My shower is tomorrow and DH is coming home from a work trip tomorrow. My BFF from college is coming into town in a few hours.. the third musketeer is a guy so he's skipping the shower but coming into town tomorrow afternoon. And I think my BFF from high school is flying in from PA to make a surprise appearance at my shower! Her mom posted a status on FB about her coming home for the weekend. And the nursery might look put together enough to finally share pictures of it. I can't remember the last time I've been this excited!

OH yeah, that reminds me, I need to start cleaning......

I'm a Mary Kay consultant and have 2 parties tomorrow. Sunday I have to do my take home midterm, laundry, grocery shop and put our guest room back together because my bff is coming next weekend. I should probably clean too.

Are you using low voc paint or whatever it's called that's supposed to be safer?

We used that when we painted our house up north... it's good stuff. Happy painting!

I don't know if this is helpful or not but when we painted the nursery a few weeks ago, we bought regular Ben Moore paint and the label said Zero VOC on it. I don't know if all BM paint is low/zero VOC now, but I know we didn't buy the $75 a gallon stuff. It was a nice surprise.

When we painted the nursery I went to Home Depot an bought regular Behr paint. I got home and realized I forgot to ask for low VOC paint. Checked the label and it was marked Zero VOC, score! It sounds like most interior paints are low/zero VOC these days.

going off of the low/no voc thing...I was looking at decals on etsy for the wall and the one I really liked said it won't stick to no voc/ecofriendly paint...anyone have any experience with this??

My family party/shower is this weekend!! Latinos don't really do traditional showers so there will be beer, dancing and lots of niños to play with. Sunday will be spent returning things I'm sure lol.

If you're worried about fumes, they sell P95 masks at Home Depot in the paint department. These are the same masks I used in the lab when dealing with hazardous chemicals.

DH is sick with 102 fever and bacterial bronchitis. He's sleeping on couch and I'm hiding in bedroom continuously spraying Lysol and praying I don't get sick. That's our weekend.

Count me in for a much needed haircut! I may take DD for breakfast at a little cafe here. Then I should get on these baby books, but that requires someone going in the attic and getting out boxes of old photo albums. I know DH will be watching basketball all weekend, so that only leaves my pregnant self. Not likely. Ooh, and I can catch up on missed episodes of teen mom!

I plan on doing NOTHING except housework and relaxing. Spring break started today and I'm so in need. I've got to finish grading and maternity leave lesson plans so that'll be on my list for next week so I'm gonna take my weekend.
