Thanks for checking! Benjamin Richard was born at 4:51 pm on Friday, 8 lbs 7 oz, 20 inches long. We are doing well, and expect to go home tomorrow (Sunday) if everything continues as it has.
Labor wasn't too bad; got the wonderful epidural at 3 cm and went from 3 to 8 in a hour, which surprised both us and the hospital staff, as our doc had estimated a full-day labor earlier. Ben did get a little stuck during pushing, so they had to use forceps and do an episiotomy. I'm a little sore today, but not bad at all.
He has taken a little while to get the hang of BFing, but seems to have the idea now. He has been alert a lot more today and has been pretty content.
He is adorable! Glad to hear all went pretty well!
